Outstanding venue for listening to live music! What a pleasant surprise I had when I visited the Trailhead Beer Garden for the first time. I have been to and enjoyed many Schreiner University coffee houses when they were in the Lions Den, but the new venue is incredible. There is nothing much better than listening to live Texas music outside on a warm September evening. Michael Hearn performed a mix of old and new tunes with the grace of a seasoned performer. His love of song writing and young writers was evident throughout his performance. My favorite part of live music is the stories between the songs and Michael Hearn did not disappoint. It's a rustic place with a nice outdoor seating area and some indoor seating, too. Good selection of Texas beers. I got one from a Kerrville brewery, Pint and Plow, that unfortunately was closed already. It was a saison and very enjoyable. Hopefully I'll have the opportunity to visit them in the future.
I recommend this place to hang out and sip on some brews. You'll have no trouble finding a beer that suits you. Very good--and interesting, not mainstream-- music on the sound...
