Salon Chemar — Attraction in Killeen

I have been going to this salon since we PCSed to Texas. I have never had any problems until today. I am very very particular about my hair and who touches it because of past experiences. Today I went in and got color and cut. The color is done it is not what I wanted but the cut is unexceptable. I specifically showed a photo and asked can you do this without hesitation the owner who was doing my hair said yes. My hair looks nothing like what I asked for. My hair is a lot shorter than the photo and looks nothing like the long layered choppy bob I asked for. I of course started to cry because I was so upset because I knew there was nothing that could be done because my hair was now cut off. The only reply the owner gave to me was "I am not going to have you treat me or the salon like this" which infuriated me even more. It's my hair that just got cut off and you told me there's nothing you can do. Very unprofessional. The owner did not try to make this right. My girls also had their hair done and my oldest did not get her haircut the way she had wanted. She was given a inverted bob. Even though the picture was a long layered bob with bangs and a strip of hair longer in the front. The owner did ask if she could fix her hair but with the results of my hair I opted out of that fast. I am truly disappointed it takes a long time for me to trust someone to cut my hair. Like I said I have had no issues until today and I am devastated I look like I have a mullet and strips of hair in the front of my face shaping it. I paid my bill and told the owner I would not be back she did not care. So after over 3 years of going to this salon you can see how much I was of a valued customer. Salon Chemar is definitely a place I would recommend. I have never took the time to rate and/or review a place of business. However, I recently moved to Killeen from Atlanta and thought I may be able to help new residence in their quest to finding a new hair salon. My experience was one of the best experiences I've had at a salon to date. My visit to Salon Chemar was definitely challenging for my stylist. I did a number on "cutting" my own hair. They were very professional and turned an embarrassing moment into a situation I could be relieved of. My cut came out great!!! And my hair was full of bounce. Might I add I have been transitioning for a year, so I was very pleased with how straight they got my natural hair. The salon itself was very clean and all the stylist were very friendly!!! I called about a week ago to make an appointment, when I was asked about the service I wanted, I specifically stated I wanted a Dominican Blowout, the appointment was set, I went in on 5/22, the stylist was nice but had no idea what a Dominican blowout was or how to do it, I got a wash, blowdry and flat iron for 45 dollars, I was so aggravated when I left, I actually had to pull over in my car, the stylist put gel on my edges, we never do that, my hair is natural, no chemicals, so by the time I pulled out the parking lot, my roots started to curl right back up, so when I pull my hair back, I got nappy roots, and edges, with the rest straight..I'm done, When I get a blowout, I never leave the salon without my hair being wrapped, it last me a month or so,. After my visit to this salon, the next day my hair looks a hot mess, Will not return, if you or your stylist have no idea what a Dominican blowout is or how to do it, DON'T SCHEDULE...
