Pretty cool place overall. Decent atmosphere and vibe. Bar food seems so-so. The female bartender was very nice and professional.
However, I do have one minor complaint... the selection of the games, and one major complaint... the quality of the controls.
They are missing many of the "classic" staple games. And many of the games that they do have... are games that almost no one plays at all.
And more important... non-working controls... the sticks and buttons on some of the more "played" games simply weren't working at all, or weren't working properly. There is absolutely nothing more frustrating than playing games with non-functioning controls.
And here's the thing... the 2 games that they have which are "multi-game" cabinets, meaning that they are emulator cabs, which allow you to select from many different games (sometimes 20 or 30 games, or sometimes even 100's of games)... the controls on those cabinets didn't work properly.
So the 2 cabinets, which are meant to try and improve on their overall selection and quantity of games... didn't have properly working controls.
They're charging a small entry fee for people to come in, so they should take a little bit of time and effort to make sure the games are working properly. And many of the controller problems are simple 5-minute fixes.
The theme is a Bar/arcade, and the "Bar" part is obviously the main draw... but it wouldn't hurt to pay a bit more attention to the "arcade" part of the...
Read moreNice little spot. Me and my family went there to celebrate my son's birthday and he had friends there as well. We were able to bring in our own pizza and drinks from 12:30p to 2:30p (they have a bar and plenty of trash cans for convenience of customers). The cost of the party was $75 an hour. Free games throughout this entire time, and they even had board games if people wanted to play them as well as a giant Jenga set. A lot of fun old school games (ones I hadn't played) that I hadn't played in a while. All the tables had a really cool theme there were cut outs of all your favorite heroes and villains. When I was playing some of the games there was a glare from the natural light from the big Windows to my left so it glared on the arcade screen. That was probably the worst thing that I could say in this review. The one employee that was there was courteous....
Read moreI came in for a beer and burger. I had to pay a 5 dollar cover to go into an empty bar. It is free play arcade though. I was just there to eat unfortunately, so that 5 dollars is mostly wasted. The 18 dollars for a beer and a cafeteria burger, that had something crunchy and hard in it like bone, on top tasteless fries, all I was given for my burger was a mustard mayo and ketchup packets. All said and done 23 dollars for warm glasses and poor food... The atmosphere is lifeless. It's dark, no music for setting, it was depressing to be in there. They need to just stop selling food. Focus on atmosphere and drinks. If you have to do food lose the burgers just do simple stuff but make it good. Unfortunately if any changes are made I won't be back to see them. I like myself too much to...
