Golden Harvest Produce Market — Attraction in Kittery

I normally don't bother with reviews unless I feel particularly moved by great service or products. GH has met and exceeded all my expectations. I'm not one for fresh produce and wines and fancy cheeses. Even to my untrained eye there is a huge selection of all of the above. By now you must be wondering, "What DOES she like about this place!?" I'll tell ya. The people are all friendly and helpful! And.... mostly the salad bar. The homemade hot soups. I don't cook, but unfortunately I still need to eat. Fast Checkout and relatively easy parking means I can get in, out, back to work, with time to eat on my 30 minute break! I usually pay less than $7.00 for a filling meal. Beats Burger King in all categories: price, taste, and a healthier option! So, today I went and bought a cup of Chicken Noodle Soup. Also a cup of their Loaded Potato Soup. Lunch was the CNS, DEVINE. 🙏🙏🙏SO GOOD! But what really moved me was the LPS. Oh, my, god. It was SO OUTSTANDING that I'm STILL rambling on in this review! I had some beef stew there and some carrot ginger cauliflower soup. They were both sooooo delicious. The salad bar rocks too. Also, I love the oatmeal raisin cookies. These cookies are so wholesome that I eat them for breakfast. I love that they are made with real butter. As an added. bonus, the cashiers are super helpful and kind and wear cool clothes and hair.That MilkHouse Maple Yogurt is too good, also. It is hard not to eat the entire quart in a day. The Harvest has been our treasured go-to local, reliable, chock-full-of-fresh "market" for decades. During the Pandemic, they have graduated to heroic. Not only have they appropriately social distanced but while we are waiting in line outside, they come out and offer to shop for us. Give them the card, the money, your list and out they come in a few minutes.
