Nice historic building. Great a/c, very comfortable. We set up at a flea market there as vendors. The main issue is the snack bar REFUSES to accept cash...and were not very nice about it! No drink machines on the premises either. How can you reasonably host cash heavy markets and events, and refuse to take cash??? Vendors were VERY unhappy with this, so they either had someone Run out locally for food to go, or they just went hungry. (I know several vendors that didn't get to eat) conversation I heard from many was that they would not be back as vendors. It may seem trivial to some, but if your the city of Knoxville, you should have better sense than that. Take cash, you'll keep your vendors. We won't...
Read moreI had a blast at the Man Show and Job Fair at the Jacob building in Knoxville, Tn. It was a free and family-friendly event with hundreds of local vendors, dozens of cool vehicles and lots of things to do. I enjoyed the live music by Marki Lucky, Aaron Carter, Chris Blue and Crockett, and the DJ Sterl the Pearl, who kept the energy high throughout the show. I also met some Olympic and NBA legends, participated in some fun contests, and learned about health and wellness from Tennova experts. The show was well-organized and entertaining, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great time. Thank you to WATE 6 and all the sponsors for putting on such a...
Read moreI have been to multiple events here at the Jacob building and each time I was very pleased with the events and how clean and safe I felt at them. I love that they have a concession stand built inside of it as well, just in case there aren't any good vendors you will always have the concession stand. Which by the way has some ahhhhhmazing fried pickles...among other things!! 😍😍😍 This is a nice place. Pictured below is a robotics competition I watched during the tennessee valley fair and the other pictures was from a baking competition I saw during an event there. We...
