
This is our absolute favorite, my wife is pregnant, and we have zero issues with some of the many hikes we have done here, you can kind of create your own off the beaten path by following the rather wide hikes or going towards the mountain bike hikes that are Vast and with so many different options we never have a dull moment we always take our dog and allow him to go off leash given we don’t see too many coyotes, but in seven times we’ve only seen one coyote though I do hear they are there more frequently. Today we did our longest hike of 3 miles and it was absolutely fantastic. Read moreKind of an undiscovered gem, only a few minutes drive from the crowds of Descanso Gardens. Even on a weekend morning, it was possible to park within 20 yards of the entrance. And even on a slightly hazy day, it offered spectacular views of the La Cañada area and the mountains and offered a truly natural oasis. Read moreWent out on a 2:30 pm on July 4th. 90 degree weather. Not a good idea. I was all kitted out in my mountain bike gear and I was unable to stall cool. Ended up walking the bike most of the way. Gonna try a different time of day to enjoy the trail. I did appreciate how there wasn’t anyone else there but me and my two friends.
