Iโm originally from the East Coast so in General all landscape in California looks wonderful to me because there is no snow to make everything die back. But after living here in So Cal for so long you get use to it and start to notice some places look nicer than others. This Park is one of them, its big clean and green. No weeds, everything is trimmed and mowed, a huge variety of plants and trees that tie in the lush look of a story book park for a pick nick. Also, No littler, or graffiti and a plethora of trash cans no matter where you walk; and I have to say there are not to many places I will sit my butt down without a toilet seat cover but the restroom here is always clean. This Whole place is constantly kept clean by the City Park maintenance guy. That little guy is very nice, funny and helpful; heโs a Life saver, I interrupted him in the middle of him trimming his shrubs and told him the paper was out in the ladies room and he even cleaned the toilet for me before I used it as well as restock the paper. I actually watched him scrub the bowl and wipe everything down, I give him an A+ for that. The park also has nice tables to eat on, bbq pits to cook, and benches to sit all around the park. Has a very cool vintage playground that looks like it was built in the 60โs space era, and also a more new modern cheap plastic playground, the kids seem more attracted to the vintage one anyways. Place seems great for large parties and my favorite aspect of the park is the purple orchid trees. Wish the city planted more of them then those god awful crape myrtles I see everywhere. Most certainly the best park Iโve been in through the O.C. and L.A. County no gang members or homeless I would highly recommend this park to...

Like, really small. But that's cool... What my problem with this park is that I drove a good distance out of the way to get here so my son, who loves rockets, could play in the giant retro metal rocket, but couldn't because it's been sealed off. It was a huge let down. My son still had fun in the old school metal slide that looked like a satellite, sort of. The Saturn monkey bars were beautiful but too intimidating for the little guy. I guess, I should have looked it up before driving so far for a park, but nonetheless it was a disappointment. That's all...

About half of the park is fenced off because they do use it for water park are some homeless people which make it uncomfortable if you do go with small children. they're living out of their car or they just live in the park so when I came and brought my kids I did not like it I didn't feel comfortable.. anyway it's great if you're going to bring your dog to walk the park but other than that to go and stay for a while I was not comfortable there's too many other parks for me to go and visit I will revisit it and repost...
