Avenue Park — Attraction in La Puente

Important! The Picture of the Park in the online LA County Parks & Recreation site: shows the Park as a brand new Park! That was Several Years ago!! the first Only & last time, this Park looked like that! I live near by, so I see the day to day (non) maintenance of this Park!! This park is always severely over grown (its a fire hazzard) & makes the Park an Ugly site!the street curb in front of the park, is Always Trashed with Litter! Every day! LA County Parks needs to hire a competent Landscaping Company!! A company: One that has Pride in their work! To do the every day work, that they get paid to do! of keeping this park Looking like it should! If it had any pride in their every day work ethics! Which this Company doesn’t! It obvious, Becuz it’s been accepted for more years than I’d like to admit: Trashed! (I spared showing only 3 photos) Looks like this or worse! On a daily basis, Never clean , just as the photos show! This park shows us that the Landscape Company who is in charge of maintenance: Has No Pride or Respect, for their works ethics!! Or the Area & people ! Period! To say the Least! Btw .. all the so called semi good reviews are over 3-4 years old! And they are Not impressive at that!! A fact is a fact! It’ has become a “Bad” environment of a park! Becuz if it looks like a : Getto Park attracts Getto people!! The condition of the park Marks the park as unsafe, undesirable, Period! An insult to the neighboring People & homes! This Park has to be cleaned up ASAP! And this review needs to be seen by the LA County Parks &...

Great skatepark. Just your usual stuff you could expect at the skatepark is why I’ll give this one a four star vs a five. People smoking some people getting in your way when you’re trying to skate and one thing I will definitely say although there is a nice bump to get some speed in the little snake area it really doesn’t have a good flow for you to skate around the park and not be getting off your board or at least pushing in a way that just simply isn’t stylish haha. It’s more a cool place to practice on a couple things rather than flow around the park listen to music and get a good line in. Other than the skatepark the regular playground is great for kids it has two different playground both decent size with little musical chime things at the entrance also has a little path to walk on surrounded by grass and trees nice place to sit and watch the...

I really enjoyed this lil park. I use to live 7 houses away about 19 year's ago, and this was not here at that time. Native plant's around the grounds, the kid's playground is very nice and BIG, that's how all playgrounds should look like. One last thing, this has to do with one of the reviewer's comments below, saying he gets bullied at this park, just be a bigger guy then those lil idiot's, they have daddy issues buddie, and believe me when I tell you this, they are hurting (crying) inside.
