What a wonderful pet store! Firstly, the owners are super knowledgeable and friendly. They won’t let you get anything that won’t work for your pet (example I asked if a dog deshedder brush would work for a Persian cat, and they quickly showed me my best options, and wouldn’t let me leave purchasing the wrong item or one that could harm my pet.) any pet questions you have, they know everything, and if they don’t know it, they get you the correct answer almost immediately. There is never a wait! You will always get quick service with an easy check out process. Secondly, They offer a large number of pets (especially exotic ones.) Beautiful fish, many pet friendly insects, gorgeous reptiles, some birds, and a variety of little critters. And let me say the part that truly amazes me the most, is how clean the store is! You wouldn’t even know you are walking into a store full of pets because there is no awful animal smells. It truly amazes me. And the animals are also kept so clean. I also love that many of the smaller critters are in an open enclosure so that you may pet them. This works great for the customer as the animal is becoming very people friendly with all the attention they get. And they very smartly enclose critters that may be more quick to bite. They truly know these babies and always have such a beautiful friendly selection. Lastly, they are sooo unbelievably welcoming and such a wonderful addition to our town of Lacey. They have so many events they hold at the store. From pictures with Santa or the Easter bunny, to Easter egg hunts, to finding a small plastic elephant like “where’s Waldo.” And they give amazing prizes!!! I mean free pets, gift certificates, free prizes. They do more than any pet store I have ever seen. My kids beg me to go here regularly. And it’s quickly becoming one of our favorite weekly stops to make. My daughter so desperately wants a bunny, and when we get a bigger home we plan to let her get one. Had someone pickup 2 clownfish for a tank they were helping me setup. The tank is completely cycled . I floated the bag for 15 mins and confirmed three times the SG of the bag and the tank were a match via digital refractometer. Since the fish bag water was a match on SG I did not drip and just added to the tank. The clowns stayed at the top of the water most of the time water chem was

temp 78 SG 1.025 PH 8.0 ammonia 0, nirites 0, nirates 10

Fish were eating the first few days and then vanished at on the 4th night. I managed to find one body at the bottom of the rockwork but the serpent star that was given to me "scavenger clean up crew member that will save your tank if something died" was doing his job and pulled the dead clowns into the rockwork.

I dont know what happened other than I was sold unhealthy fish. I couldnt have recovered the fish as the serpent star was doing its job. Its not my water as clearly the serpent star is surviving in the tank yet the clowns couldnt last a week?

In response to the owners reply: In that case im not sure what happened. The person who helped me was so sure everything was done right that they gave me a pair of orange storms they had gotten in a trade/credit and both are doing just fine. I appreciate your offer to replace them but the price was just too high. I dont smile for anything and that alone was why I wouldn't return. With zero changes done to the tank since losing yours both fish...

Big lack of information here and knowledge specifically around the species of aquatic life they have. It’s actually a shame. Drove over one hour to get “vampire” crabs from this pet store and was convinced when I truly knew better that what I purchased were vampire crabs that must have been molting. However I noticed in the same cage they had “red claw crabs” as well. So I asked 3 times are you sure these are vampire and they kept telling me yes. Plot twist had 2 experts confirm they are red claw crabs . Spent 66 dollars on these crabs and drove an hour to get something I could have gotten for 5 dollars a piece up the street from my home. I will say. Although they did not know the correct crab type they did have great customer service and helped me with my tank set up. However it’s the principle. Sorry really sucks cause right before I got this confirmed I planned on traveling there for my pet needs going forward but that just wasn’t or won’t be...
