Tomatoes Pizzeria — Restaurant in Lacey Township

We got cheesesteaks there in the past and they were very good. Ordered FIVE of them for a small gathering. Specifically asked them to NOT prep them ahead of time and we would willingly wait for them to be ready. Turned out I got there ahead of time since traffic was minimal. The order of five cheesesteaks was already sitting on top of a fridge when I got there 15 minutes before the requested pick up time. OK, they were good in the past so .... Now this was a gathering and we happily shared what we thought would be great cheesesteaks. We didn't pay for sub-par food. There was FAR less meat than last time but the price was significantly higher. The bread was actually rubbery. I considered using the ends for some tennis practice the following day. Not sure what happened to this establishment but the quality is WAY lower than it was. I have this event in my home every 8 weeks but I will not be using Tomatoes for any future events. After 8pm order and delivery on a Friday

Arrived warm, not hot and a little soggy. Personal sized vegetable Stromboli was filled with aldente veggies, flavorful- vegetables could be chopped smaller but otherwise was enjoyable. Cheese calzone was straight forward, old fashioned calzone made with good, stringy cheese.

Other than the soggyness likely due to being in the insulated bag used for delivery, the crust on the Stromboli and calzone had a nice chew to it. I'm sure these two items are excellent hot out of the oven. Personal sizes were perfect size for 3 ladies to share plus some wings for a late evening dinner.

Garlic parm wings weren't my favorite- didn't enjoy the sauce but the blue cheese dressing it came with was excellent and maybe homemade!

We ordered online and got a spinach pizza. It was $18.23 for this pizza. The other part of our order had a pizza with onions, green peppers, sausage, and meatball for $26.73. I think that this is a little pricey for what it is, but I’m glad to support a local pizzeria that I have been visiting for years now. I have never gotten the spinach pie before, but I kind of regretted it because there was a LOT of spinach on the pie. Typically, when I order a pie with spinach, there’s maybe 50% less spinach on it. But, it was still decent, I just wish I had gotten it plain because it was a little overwhelming. I recommend getting the grandma because...
