Adrien's Supermarket — Attraction in Lafayette

DO NOT PROCESS YOUR DEER HERE! I got home and realized they did not return my backstrap or tenderloin from my deer. I specifically asked for them to vacuum seal and return both, as indicated on my receipt and in a direct conversation with the butcher. When I called the following morning and spoke to the butcher, the butcher was extremely smug and rude and said he did not know where my meat was. Not only that, but they then proceeded to offer me someone else's backstrap. I called back and spoke to the manager multiple times. I told them that I was not willing to accept someone else's backstrap, as I did not know how it had been cared for prior to being brought in for processing. They called back and said we can do a $10 gift card OR someone else's backstrap, and that was it. I even told them I was willing to accept the equivalent value in beef, and avoid going this route. They refused to make it right, so here we are. AVOID...

I have been a loyal customer of Adrien's for over 20 years. I'm an African American heavy set woman and have always carried big purses. I wasn't always overweight but I've noticed that for the last few years while I'm shopping, I'm being watched despite of the fact that I have been a customer for over 20 years and have NEVER shoplifted in my entire life and never will from ANY store! NOT ALL OVERWEIGHT BLACK WOMEN WHO LIKE BIG PURSES STEAL!!!!! IT'S AN INSULT AND RACIST!!!! FURTHERMORE, WHILE I'M BEING FOLLOWED, THE PERSON(S) YOU LEAST SUSPECT MAY BE SHOPLIFTING UNBEKNOWNST TO YOU AND GETTING AWAY WITH IT!!!!

Other than that, some of the employees are very friendly and very helpful. I shop there because it's affordable and usually have great sales. Also, hardly ever wait long in line...

The employees are so wonderful at Adriens. I need help putting groceries in my cart because I have back problems and they help me put them in my cart and bring all my groceries to the car and unload them. If I am in need of a product, they help me find it or something comparable. Their chicken salad is awesome and their hot French bread can't be beat. The store is always clean and the products are always fresh. Awesome deli and fresh meat department's. I have never had a problem shopping at Adriens. Thank you for making a local family store a great place to see friendly faces and to get fresh produce and meat, with great prices too. Adriens is the great package...
