Asian Palace Buffet & Grill — Restaurant in Lafayette

We had a very disappointing experience at Asian Palace. It was about 8:30 pm when we sat down, a little later than ideal I admit due to them closing at 9pm. All of the food was out, most of it was cold and had obviously been sitting out for a while, this is expected due to how close it was to closing time. This is not what bothered us. At about 8:50 pm one of the ladies working asked if we wanted more food from the sushi bar because she wanted to clean up, we declined. 3 minutes later she asked again if we wanted more food from the restaurant of the buffet. We said yes while still eating our plates of food. She proceeded to pester us to “hurry up, get up, go get it.” She would not leave our table until we got up again. Mind you, this is still before 9pm. We got up and got a little more and then told her we were done. The started turning the lights off on us and took our soy sauce off of the table before we were finished eating. I would not have been surprised if they started flipping the extra chairs onto the table while we were still eating. The experience was both comical and disappointing. I have said for years that this was my favorite Chinese restaurant, but the way they rushed us out like that at closing time left a worse taste in my mouth than the food did. 0/5 stars for...

Lil food review time of asian palace in lafayette to be fair i waited till i ate there a few rimes to review 2 times at lunch once at dinner. All three times the staff was extremly nice the reasturant was extremly clean and felt really nice but unfortunatley the food did not live up to those standards. The three times i went the food was older not hot and fried items were eitther rubbery are hard as a rock. I went tonight amd the dinner price was 15 dollars plus 3 dollars for a drink in my opinon about 5 bucks to much. The food again was old and just did taste as good as other chinese places charging less. I feel like they are already in panic mode the way they hover in all fair ness i did go in about an hour before they closed but the times i went in at lunch it was peak time amd the food was still sub par so staff 9 out of 10 reasturant 10 pit of 10 food 6 out of 10 at best value for the price 5 out of 10. End review i dont know if any one else has gone but what was yalls opinions am i being to hard. I really wanna like this placr because it is gorgeous...

Not much of a selection. Lots of there entrées were cold. Also what I didn't like was that they had a guy working I guess that was the sushi area and he came remove my finished plates off my table then right after that I got up with my credit card in my hand then proceeded towards the check out area and he was watching me then he went stand next to the cashier and the cashier asked where was my ticket and I said the waitress didn't bring it so she had to look it up and when he knew I was gonna pay then he returned to his working area. He shouldn't just assume people are gonna walk out. They do have a lot of honest people in this world. It was so noticeable the way he kinda followed me to the checkout area. I know he probably does that to a lot of his customers. He will loose a lot of them like that. I want be returning...
