The are 2 sections of the park, and also "Vermilionville", a theme park/cultural center (and restaurant) which is a reconstruction of an early cajun settlement. This is located in the larger section, which also contains a couple of baseball fields, some nice tennis courts and fishing ponds (complete with alligators). This section is on the airport side.
While its one park and connected by walkway (not recommended after dark), the sections are divided by highway 90, a 4 lane divided expressway.
