You need to understand and know what you're looking at before you buy a gemstone/crystal from this store. Are most of the prices overpriced in my opinion yes and that's what comes from the overhead of owning a brick-and-mortar. There are some hidden and rare gems to be found here so if you're serious collector and you know what you're looking at you can find a good deal. I feel like if they expanded the store to include lower end pieces it might open a new dimension to their customer base. Lafayette could really benefit from a solid gemstone rock and mineral shop. I feel like the shop hasn't evolved in a very long time. The only other issue I have with this shop being a person who is empathic this shop feels unclean and I have a hard time staying in it for long periods of time and when I leave I have to work extra hard to ground myself. These people seem like they've been practicing spirituality for a long time so it's lost on me as to why they don't have a better system for cleansing the energy of their shop...

Thaddeus, the knowledgeable owner who originally hails from Michigan, knows his rock and gemstone stuff and his Tai Chi stuff, too. He is able to tell you which stones mean what, such as the labradorite he showed me the other day which, he said, assists with helping one find stability in chaotic times (sounds like we all need that these days!). He has always sold a variety of gemstones in ring, pendant and earring form, everything from peridot to rhodochrosite. A dear friend gifted me with a rhodochrosite ring from Heaven on Earth, in fact, and I treasure it. Thaddeus purveys unusual gemstones in jewellery form, but also has rock specimens, books, and so many things in the shop that you really need to take your time to examine it all. The shop owner was so sweet!! I was in town for a couple of days and knew I had to stop at a spiritual shop before I went back home.

I immediately felt so welcome in the store and he really is so knowledgeable about everything he has in his shop. You can tell he does his research before putting something out to sell. Such a relaxing atmosphere and such unique jewelry pieces. The crystals are a tad bit pricy compared to other shops I’ve been to, but definitely seem to be high quality. If you’re looking for some cool pieces, I would definitely recommend...
