I used to frequent this mom and pop pizza joint. I'm trying to support a local place but the salad had all these thick pieces of the head of lettuce and hard to chew. I'm not a rabbit and that's all that will eat this pieces. The pizza itself was over cooked, burnt on the top and blackened on the bottom. This made the crust so very hard can't chew it. I paid for ham and pineapple but only a few pieces of pineapple on entire pizza. I took pics but no place to post on this review. My wife wouldn't eat her half and we fed it to our Labradors. Pretty damn expensive dinner for dogs. The antipasto salad was the only thing that was good but it's definitely not worth over $40 of what I paid for dinner for my wife and I. Kids were gone and tried to have a quiet and romantic evening..NOPE. I don't know if it's New Management, Quality Inspector was off this evening are the employees just don't care about the products that they're providing for the community. These products lacking quality, good taste, and proper consistency will drive customers to the chain restaurant because I could have spent less money for a better product from Domino's or Pizza Hut this evening. If the general manager cares enough to give me a call I would be glad to provide the pictures of my...
Read moreOnce we got there the place was clean and had that mom and pop feeling which was amazing. It was kind of busy so medium traffic so we waited a few mins to get a server. Did our ordering and my daugther wanted shrimp fettuccine which we had to ask where the shrimp come from or see if it's even imported so no information on that. We got the food which I went to safe bet chicken alfreado but the pasta tasted it it was refrigerated and not fresh. No biggie but what I really don't appreciate is that the shrimp still had intestines in them while in my daughter alfreado. Kindly ask the lady if they clean the shrimp and she says yes then show her which she can see and she apologize about it and my daughter orders a chicken sandwich. She only taken 2 bites and we were still charged with a pasta that had shrimp that wasn't clean and the food was sub par. This place has been a cornerstone for years and the quality has fallen off. I'm not posting no pictures of the food because I want to see when I go back that changes are made. I wanted mom and pops Italian authentic food and was...
Read moreI first ate my first Alesi Pizza in 1966 and it was the best pizza I had ever eaten. I routinely ate there until 1972 when I moved to Houston. I would still eat there occasionally whenever I returned to Lafayette and the food was always good. It had been several years last week when I was back in town and ordered Pizza and salad to impress my family. I have to say we all agreed it was the worst food we had ever eaten. The large Pizza is only 12" and costs about $20 depending on toppings. The crust tastes like some kind of pre frozen wheat bread and the sauce was sweet and lacking. There was barely any cheese and the quality of their pepperoni and other ingredients was poor. I guarantee it was not tossed as it shows on their website. My wife and sister in law both had salads and both got sick. My wife was sick for 2 days. We had 3 different large pizzas and they all were terrible. My suggestion is bring back a cook like the old man who used quality ingredients, knew how to cook pizza, and took pride...
