I've just discovered what might be the best-kept secret in town - Fuji Sushi House! This family-owned treasure offers an experience that chain restaurants simply can't match. Walking in, you're immediately embraced by the cozy, authentic atmosphere that makes you feel like you've been welcomed into someone's home. The staff treats you like family from the moment you arrive, starting with complimentary miso soup that warms both body and soul - rich, flavorful, and the perfect beginning to an exceptional meal. The chicken tempura appetizer is absolutely outstanding - light, crispy, and perfectly cooked. But the real magic happens when the rolls arrive. The Bourbon Roll delivers complex flavors that dance across your palate, while the Super Star Roll truly deserves its name with presentation and taste that will leave you speechless. What truly sets Fuji Sushi House apart is the remarkable freshness of their fish. Each piece tastes like it was swimming just hours before landing on your plate - a testament to their unwavering commitment to quality. After wanting to try this local gem for months, I'm kicking myself for waiting so long! Supporting small, family-owned businesses like this one isn't just good for the community - it's a treat for your taste buds too. If you're looking for sushi that doesn't just satisfy but genuinely impresses, Fuji Sushi House should be at the top of your list. We have found our new favorite spot, and I'm already planning my next visit!

Found this cozy sushi spot by accident. It's definitely a hidden gem. Very personal service, kind and attentive staff. They start off by serving you a warm towelette to wash up before taking your order. I started with a miso soup and tuna tataki. The menu is extensive, so it took me a bit to decide on a main course. The chef happily gave suggestions. I've never had a "riceless" roll before, but it was amazing and very filling without the over full feeling from too much rice. I finished with a perfectly cut orange or a light dessert. And lastly, another warm towelette to clean up before taking the check. The prices are a bit higher than "average sushi", however, the ingredients were all very fresh looking and tasting along with being beautifully plated, well worth the price for me. I will return here in the future.

Fuji Sushi is the best sushi restaurant in Lafayette, LA. It’s rated highest by Facebook's Foodies of Lafayette. They follow the traditional roots of sushi—the formality of it all. Warm towels are provided upon arrival and again after dinner. It’s a small place that allows so much attention to detail. Ginger is amazing as front of house hostess and server—if she’s seen you once, she will remember you and what you like to drink. Miso soup is complimentary, as well as the beautiful oranges afterward. Tik is the sushi chef and creates beautiful rolls and plating. Check out their love boat! Wow. Every time we visit, it’s as if we were invited to their home for dinner. It’s a hidden gem in Lafayette, and it’s fantastic.

I'm kind of a sushi buff. I've tried sushi at so many establishments in several states and countries. I kid you not when I say this little hidden gem is by far one of my favorites. Living in North Louisiana now, doesnt stop me, I make the drive 3+ hours for their sushi. I've tried the YOYO Hot mommy the Becker the Michelle B and a few others...along with the Shiela salad. I have not yet been disappointed. At every other place I've always had to add Sauces and dip my sushi, but here? Omg...the flavors Ms. Tic uses for each, is so magnificent, you DO NOT NEED ANYTHING but your appetite. Ms. Ginger serves you with the sweetest personality and you feel like your stepping into their personal kitchen and are family. I love the environment. AMAZING ENERGY. And the sushi is some of the FRESHEST I've ever had, and I've had fatty tuna off the boat. You will NOT be disappointed with them. And dont leave without trying the sticky rice with mango《《《this is the first time I've had it made RIGHT and authentically. I cant say enough about this place. Just try it. I cant eat sushi anywhere else now...because it is unmatched in flavor and variety. Do yourself a favor and go! You will not regret it. BEST SUSHI IN THE...

Oh goodness. This place was not only good it was exceptional! The service was well beyond expectation - the owner went out of her way to make things my 7 year old would love (which he did!) and the sushi chef was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The food - oh the food! Yumm. We ordered 5 different rolls and they were all beautiful, colorful and tightly rolled; plus shrimp and tomatoes for the kid! The fish was fresh, the ingredients tasted good, the combinations were fun and tasty. Pretty sure there were a solid 5 pages of rolls - no joke - to choose from. Expect to wait for your food as it is made fresh when you order it. One of the best sushi experiences I have had in years. Go, you wont regret it. Side note - this place was spotless clean and the extras in the service area should really earn them...
