My favorite spot to get birria tacos!

Friendly place and great service. Use to be a food truck, now a restaurant! The place is very clean and the ambiance feels very authentic. Food was also great, and don’t forget about the drinks! We had the following:

Chip and salsa - freshly made to order, very delicious and flavorful! Best around!

Tlacoyo - bean and cheese filled, delicious app to get you started towards your meal

Tacos are great here, my favorites are their al pastor and campechano, you won’t regret it!

Mexicana Plus Torta - super huge torta, fully loaded with a whole bunch of good meat and cheese and avocado, this portion can literally feed a whole family, but you don’t want to, you’ll want to eat it all by yourself since it’s so good

There’s also a kids menu for the little ones, like a simple quesadilla for them to enjoy.

Michelada - rimmed in chamoy, spices, Clamato, and choice of beer - probably one of the best michelada I had around Lafayette, definitely good and refreshing

Coconut margarita - coconut and delicious, a little strong, may get you tipsy!

The first time I went the carnitas was great, 03192025 but when I went back the next day on 03202025 @ around 1200pm, my visit was terrible. Their food nor servers are consistent! It started with me grabbing a Spanish menu to order. I looked it over and before I could even say anything she took the menu out of my hand and gave me an English one. Um, I can read and speak Spanish, I’m not fluent, but I guess she figured I couldn’t, I’m not sure why😒 I ordered two carnitas tacos with pull pork and skin, but when I got them there was no fat and they were dry; It also had little pieces of bone in it. I took them back in as I was eating in my car, because it was a nice day, and explained that my tacos had no fat and wasn’t what I wanted. She acted as if she didn’t understand what I was trying to say and brushed me off; telling me that I got what I ordered; I was really disappointed and for $11.29 for two tacos and a Jarritos, I expected to get what I ordered. Anyway, I probably won’t go back and it’s sad, because I love carnitas and really wanted to like this place; but if I can only get what I want 50% of the time,...

What the what? 5 stars - worst Mexican food I have ever had - so bad I wanted to stick my finger down my throat and vomit, I ended up stopping at the truck on university to get the taste out of my mouth. Pulled pork tacos were at least a week old / hope I don’t wake up in middle of the night with food poisoning- we are all about supporting local and supporting small restaurants, I guess we will stick to our favorites.
