I can’t even remember the last time I left a review, if ever, but I think this is worth mentioning. I was in line before 6:30am this morning for the 11/17/23 Lorcana launch. I beyond understand that stores are limited to product, but what I don’t appreciate is being lied to. We were initially told 6 Disney 100 collections were received. Since I was 4th in line, I watched the store owner open the box and I counted the 6. I was so so happy! Then I watched her go to the back with the box. I thought that was odd but I didn’t think too much of it. After person #3 was done checking out, they told me they were sold out of the Disney 100. I asked them what happened to the 6 and she responded, “I miscounted. There were only 3.” It’s their store. I would’ve 100% respected them for wanting to keep 3 of their allotted Disney 100 collections for themselves and being upfront about that. But to be lied to like that when I waited in line patiently for many hours, it didn’t sit well with me and still doesn’t. Says a lot to me about what kind of people they are and I won’t be returning...
Read moreI popped into Comic Quest last night on a whim, wanting to dive back into Magic: The Gathering after a long hiatus since high school. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but let me tell you, I left super impressed!
From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They took the time to explain how the game has evolved over the years, which was a lifesaver since I was pretty rusty. They also filled me in on an upcoming pre-release event – sounds like a blast, and I’m definitely considering joining!
What really stood out was how patient and enthusiastic they were. They gave me some solid tips on how to get back up to speed, which made the whole process a lot less intimidating. Plus, they recommended a starter kit that I ended up purchasing, and it’s been great for getting back into the game.
Overall, I had an awesome experience at Comic Quest and I definitely...
Read moreThis was my 1st time visiting the store and right upon walking through the door I was overwhelmed by the size of the store and even more so by the massive selection of games they had. Now the store is named Comic Quest but be aware the questing options overshadow the comic aspect of the store. I had no idea there were so many options as far as games go. Whether it be turned based RPG's, board games, card games, if you wanna play a game they probably have it and then some. They also had a smaller funco pop section but really good prices on those as well as their statues and busts section. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars was the comic book presence I thought was a little small. Very nicely organized but not very many back issues however they did have a great selection of new releases. If in the area, especially if you want traffic to die down, this store is well worth...
