[EDITED on 9/2] GM of hotel addressed the problem and apologized profusely for the fiasco. She noted that the Front Desk agent will be addressed for her behavior. Updated the rating to 3 stars from 1 star as guests should not be falsely accused of bringing in a pet, nor should they need to worry about erroneous charges on their bill.
[ORIGINAL POST] The hotel itself was fine, but was charged a $75 for a pet fee and I don’t own a pet (and therefore would be very difficult for me to have a pet with me). Called the front desk to get the issue rectified, only to be told (and laughed at) that there was video of me walking in with a black and white dog. I asked for the video and to prove that it was me and that the dog went into my room. I was also told that it was suspicious that I asked for a digital key (which is a standard service for Hilton properties) so I could go straight to my room when I got in later than expected. I was told via chat that the digital key system was down and that I needed to stop by the front desk to pick up physical keys, which was what I did. Just be sure to check your receipt for made-up charges. I definitely don’t appreciate being laughed at when I tried to address an issue that was entirely their fault. This experience made me not want to stay at any Hilton properties any longer and I’m a...
Read moreLatest stay was disappointing. Front desk didn't look at my ID when checking in (huge security red flag). They also did not offer bottled water for being a Hilton rewards member (minor detail). I was excited to get one of the newly renovated rooms. It was not cleaned properly. Leftover toiletries from the previous guest. Mildew in shower. Buildup on shower head. Dirty handprints in bathroom. Peeling wallpaper. Bathtub/shower diverter is faulty. Previous stay: I always request a quiet room away from the elevators, ice machine, and pool area. At my most recent stay, I was placed directly across from the elevators and ice machine and on the highway side. The hotel was not very busy, so there shouldn't have been a reason to place me in one of the loudest rooms. Overall, the hotel is average. Decent service, cleanliness, etc. I've stayed here a few times and all of the bathrooms have flaking paint on...
Read moreFirst time staying at this Hampton Inn. We were in town for just one night and made a reservation earlier that day. It’s a typical-looking Hampton: nice lobby, open areas for sitting, and a dining area for the free breakfast. Check-in was super easy, and the staff were pleasant.
Our room was spacious, well-appointed, and clean (turns out we had an accessible room, which accounted for some of the extra space). We had queen beds, and they were nice and firm. Each bed had several pillows, which were also firm. The bathroom was large and clean. Plumbing worked well, and the water pressure was very good.
In the morning we went down for breakfast. Very impressive for a free meal. They had the standard options — yogurt, fruit, cereal, and muffins — but also warmers filled with sausage, potatoes, and omelettes. Very nice.
Would definitely stay here again the next time...
