Lake Havasu City Goodwill Retail Store, Donation Center and Career Center — Attraction in Lake Havasu City

I absolutely love the Goodwill...however, this particular store has really taken a nose dive downwards! Their merchandise is not organized like it used to be, it's almost messy & a bit chaotic to try shopping at :( I do have to say they've definitely stepped it up with their employees though (no more grouchy old lady cashiers/employees to deal with) which is definitely something positive to say about this store! They've impressed me by hiring new management (who's really been an excellent choice for management in my opinion) their customer service skills & experience are very evident, which makes me believe they really have what it takes & the right idea as far as placing these individuals in these positions! I have no doubt in my mind that the Goodwill has a method to their madness & I have all the confidence in the world believing their management team will do whatever it takes to turn this store into the amazing establishment that I know it can & will be :) I gave it 3 stars to begin with but the more I think of it, I'd like to change my rating to 4 &1/2 stars, which is partly due to their employees/management! Friendly staff, know all the checkers by heart and they always love saying hello to me and my one year old when we come in and leave. A proverbial grab bag of things. All of usually good quality. Beware of some electronic items that are in sealed boxes. TEST everything before buying. It's hard to get a refund, exchange or credit when buying "as is" items that they've taped up so tightly in the box. I'm sad and disappointed they do not do color sales anymore but just four 50% off sales a year at this particular store. It's a shame really.

The Job Connection part is very helpful to apply for jobs in and around the Tri state area. There are computers for use of filling out online applications and fliers of jobs available that are sorted by skill set for those that need a starting point. Job fairs are consistent but scattered. Always check in if you need help as they do provide other services like resume help, GED earning directions, and other...

Had an encounter today with Michelle H. She was incredibly rude to my 90 year old father and myself. She huffed and puffed because he asked to have his 'crystal' clock put in a separate bag from the large wood clock he purchased. And then she huffed and puffed at me and the customer behind me. Let's step back for moment.... she is working at the GOODWILL without any good will toward the customers who pay her salary. KINDNESS is free - she had none. Otherwise - I always find treasures in this store - NOTE to the checkers... one mans trash is another mans treasure. Those who purchase items at this store should be treated with respect and kindness - loose the huffing and puffing Michelle - AND never tell my dad he is a piece of work again. Shame on you! YOU are there to serve your customers not criticize them. Take a deep breath and take a day off if you cannot...
