Not as "holy" as they seem!

Jim- older man with white hair and drives the White Hyundai Santa Fe discriminated against a handicap person of Color because he parked in a "reserved spot". This church only has 2 Handicap spots available and the only 2 spots were taken! So the disabled man (walks with a can and can barely walk) parked up front in a reserved spot with his Handicap sticker in the window. Jim who drives the White Santa Fe saw this went to the Church's property management company -Charisma Media and complained. Mind you, Jim can walk perfectly fine and has NO disability. Jim parked directly next to the disabled man as the WHOLE LEFT SIDE is OPEN for "reserved parking". There was NO reason to make this poor man move other than to Prove a point. BUT Jim and LAKE MARY CHURCH made this man hobble all the way back to his car and move it! Then told him "fair is fair". WOW to make things worse these "Christians" had the mans job ( Medicare Group USA) FIRE him because he complained of the injustice.

I wont be going back to this church!!!! Jesus had compassion for people BUT NOT THE FOLKS AT LAKE MARY CHURCH. THEY SMILE IN YOUR FACE BUT ACT DIFFERENTLY BEHIND YOUR BACK! SAW IT FIRST HAND!

This church has been an answer to prayer for my family. It is a Bible preaching church with primarily topical sermons. The worship music is diverse and includes Spanish, gospel, and more. The children’s ministry is incredible, and the discipleship program called “Foundations” (held once a semester) has given me a much greater perspective on things the Bible speaks on and has opened my eyes to things I thought I already knew having grown up in the church. They have great programs for middle, high-school, and college kids. There is an Arabic service held at 12:30 every Sunday, and lots of translation resources during services for those who don’t understand English as well.

The Spirit of God is moving in this church family, and if you are looking to try a place that is welcoming, culturally diverse, and has a heart for reaching the nations, it’s worth checking out. We were hesitant to try, but haven’t turned back since our first time coming.

It’s been a blessing.

Also worth noting: they have a coffee shop called “The Den” that is open during the week in the older building. It is completely run by volunteers and is a great quiet environment to study while drinking and eating...

Pastor Shaddy and the leadership are amazing. From foundations to equip my life is forever changed. It is biblical teaching. It is nondenominational. I love that it’s about the relationship with God. They go above and beyond in the community! My husband took me and I never left. Pastor Shaddy and Pastor Travis married us and it was beyond perfect :) One of the best parts was they helped to ensure our marriage was on the right start by putting God first! The pre-marriage counseling was wonderful. We loved to be so involved. We have grown and now have a life group. my 4 year old absolutely loves the children’s ministry. It is safe, friendly and secure. Best church ever. Just go and you will not forget it. In a time when there is nothing but fear, this church family was life together and are the light of the world. They are on fire for Jesus! If you want to change your life, go :) they have 4 services (8:30, 10:30, 12:30 and 5:30) they also have teen and college age activities and things throughout the week. They are very diverse in cultures from all over. I have never seen such a beautiful melting pot of culture as this....
