Today I drove through the drive through after a rough day. To top it all off, at this location you have to drive around a section of parking lot to get to the drive through because of the narrowness of the space between the store front parking and the normal parking lot. There is a VERY visible sign that says not to enter, and forces you to go AROUND the parking lot. I followed the posted sign, and when I came around to the drive through some driver decided they needed their coffee immediately and couldn't take the extra 20 seconds to follow the posted traffic laws. So after I slammed on my brakes to avoid getting hit, not only do I NOT catch any visible sign of apology, the driver pulls in AHEAD of me, AND nearly runs over a pair of pedestrians. So my rough day turned into a no good, very bad, infuriating day really fast. However when I pulled up and was asked what I wanted, instead of taking it out on the employee, I light heartedly said I wanted some alcohol, but since they didn't serve that I would settle for a venti hot caramel brulee latte and since I had narrowly avoided an accident I also asked for an extra shot. My total was some six dollars and change, and I drove up with my app, ready to pay, but the ladies working smiled at me and told me it was on the house. I don't cry as a general rule, but I definitely got choked up with emotion. It really turned my night around and I can't Express how thankful I am for everyone who was working on that shift. THANK...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer at this Starbucks location for years, regularly ordering undiluted cold brew (the coffee before it’s mixed with water). On my most recent visit, I was told by the assistant manager that they could no longer sell it to me that way, and I was given a series of contradictory and illogical excuses.
First, I was told that they cannot properly cut the cold brew unless it’s a full batch, which makes no sense as it’s simply a matter of mixing concentrate and water in equal parts. Then, when I offered to pay double (which clearly covers the full cost of the coffee), I was told they do not sell “drink components,” and the cold brew itself was classified as a component—not the actual drink. That explanation is disingenuous: cold brew is the coffee itself. If anything, the water used to dilute the drink is the component, not the other way around.
I called Starbucks corporate to clarify and was told there is no such corporate policy prohibiting the sale of undiluted cold brew, confirming that this is a decision made only at this store. What’s most disappointing is that, despite my loyalty and willingness to pay more, there was no attempt to find a compromise or satisfy a regular customer. Instead, I was met with shifting excuses and no genuine effort to help.
If you care about customer service or being able to order your coffee the way you like it, I suggest trying a different location or a local coffee shop that actually values...
Read moreThis location gave me the worst service and coffee I've ever had at any Starbucks. I swung by the drive thru on my way to Lake Mary, ordering two Frappuccinos that should have totaled around $8 to $10, only to get to the window and be told that my total was $14. It had been a while since I'd been to a Starbucks, so I thought that the prices might have raised a bit, but after paying I was given the incorrect drinks.
When I asked the cashier about my order he didn't know what to do, and a girl working inside with him became aggravated and took over the register to give me my correct change. She then proceeded to not let him assist her in making the correct drinks, opting instead to make them herself while he just stood there watching. She made them hastily and they were terrible, watered down versions of what they should have been that barely tasted like anything.
By this point I was too frustrated with their lack of professionalism and customer service skills to bring the drinks back through the drive thru or inside, so I simply drove off knowing that I would never give this location my...
