From 2022-2023, I went to ECPI for my BSN. I met some amazing people through this program and I am grateful to have achieved a Bachelors in nursing and land my dream job out of ECPI but I do not think this school deserves a 5 star rating.
My biggest gripe is the communication is so poor between faculty and students including directors and clinical professors. Students would often get conflicting information, one direction from our professors and clinical instructors but then the director/president would say something contradictory. Everything seemed so last minute when it came to clinical’s as well as labs, we were often chasing up the school for information, updates on curriculum, etc. Also we did not have a librarian for 6 months of my program so there was a lack of librarian assistance and the computers/printer located in the library only worked some of the time.
My positive take away is that I had amazing clinical professors/instructors such as Professor Davis, Hodgson, Glass, and Fitzpatrick who helped me become the nurse that I am today through my clinical’s. I am truly grateful for their guidance, wisdom, and positive reinforcement I received throughout my year in the BSN program from these clinical professors/instructors as well as meeting some amazing people in my cohort.
It is a very difficult program and theres a lot to squeeze in to a year but by pushing yourself, you can achieve your goals and pass!
All in all, I am pleased to have gone to this school with my cohort but if you want to attend this school, please be warned of the miscommunication and disorganization you might receive throughout this program. I believe this school has so much potential and could be such an amazing school but there needs to be lots of changes within their faculty (director’s and the president of the school included) in order for...
Read moreOne of my life best decision i made by applying to ECPI University in Lake Mary Florida, to get my Accelerated Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN). I had the most amazing experience to get the knowledge and education from one of the finest and best instructors in this campus. Most of my instructors were Doctors, PHD's and Nurse Practitioners. All the Professors in ECPI University Lake Mary are impeccable with great extensive and advance knowledge in their field of expertise. Very hardworking and dedicated, all they want is you to succeed in life and they train you as such. Students in my class were focused, smart and very driven in achieving their education and dream to be an RN. Classes were on time, clinicals on time, best thing i also noticed help was available 24/7 not only from professors but also from the librarian, students counselor, advisors and even from The Program Director herself. Beautiful campus, amazing people, well organized curriculum for students and exams, they train you only to be one of the best and successful in your field . We were adored for our knowledge and hand on experience in handling their patients, got lots appreciation and respect in any hospital we went for our clinical rotations because of this ECPI Lake Mary campus. We were famous for "Smart Students in purple pants". Thank You ECPI, you...
Read moreThis school will set you up for failure in your career. Please choose wisely; I regret my decision everyday. I went to the Orlando campus for ultrasound school and had the worst clinical experience that set me up for failure in my career. The professors just read from the PowerPoint and when it came to scanning, they would take a few mins to be in the room and would simply go back to the office and shut the door. There were so many times where students would have to knock on the door for someone to come and help them. The professor might come for a few mins and then head straight back to the their office and close the door. When it came to clinical rotations, there were not enough clinical sites and most of the time I was at Rayus Radiology where they pretty much only do breast ultrasound. I was only given one hospital rotation and it was at a new hospital that didn’t have a lot of patients and so the exams that I saw was highly limited. All in all, I was certainly set up for failure by going to this school as I lack the necessary skills that is needed to be an ultrasound tech. I should have known as this program is not even accredited and had to take another exam that has nothing to do with ultrasound registry. I regret my decision to have chosen this school everyday and would never recommend this...
