This place had a cute little intimate vibe...They have different priced wine flights in which if you purchase 4 pick flight you receive a Custom wine glass, and 5 pick flight, receive a custom tumblr is a must try...i taste tested all of their Missouri Wines and walked away with a bottle of Vingoles which is a semi sweet white , and a bottle of Bluff Blush and I'm a Sweetie Tooand, which are both sweet reds!

Read moreI can't say enough wonderful things about this place! It's an old 50s (?) motel/inn that's been completely transformed and I love every inch of how they've used it! You can't see much of anything other than a winery sign. There's a few motel rooms which have been updated and are adorable inside and have a patio with seating and an awesome view of the lake. There's also a large patio next to this to enjoy a view and food/drinks. Next to this is a pool for any patrons to enjoy. There's another building alongside which was not open with a tasting room. Across from the motel rooms is a building they turned into event space. In front of it is bocce ball courts and there's even more outdoor seating. The building next to it is another small indoor bar/restaurant area. They wood-fire their food and the pretzels are so delicious! That being said, they are a terrible idea to order while wine tasting. 😁 They make all of their wines, some solely with Missouri grapes and others are blended with grapes from California, etc. MO doesn't produce many amazing grapes but we definitely found a couple of great wines which we bought. Bonus: monthly (or weekly?) - and on the day we were there - they donate all profits to a local nonprofit. Good thing we left with an additional 4 bottles after drinking and eating there. Can't wait to go back and to bring...
Read morefirst off this place is clearly in disrepair, eroding steal from the porches above have you wondering if they might fall? The electrical outlet fell apart when I plugged in my phone. I know that is a fire hazzard. The bathroom door did not shut. The pool and hot tub wreak of chlorine The patio furniture is filthy and the wood decking needs to be power washed and stained. It is clear the owners are not putting any more than the minimum back intoi the place. I also read a review that said they have a kitchenette. NO THEY DO NOT. Whom ever painted the room did not know how to or just did not care.. Lighting is poor. My fellow traveler fell down the steps and hurt herself. -(there is no lighting at that end of the bldg.) Lastly- the first morning I attempted to make coffee and to my dismay the coffee pot was so full of lime scale it didnt even allow water to flow thru the machine. I took it upon myself to buy descaler and clean the pot. The next morning i had great coffee. If you are unfortunate enough to end up at SBI all I can say is yes the view is fabulous from the upper rooms and if you get the room I stayed in-enjoy the coffee! This may sound a little harsh but I would not have stayed had someone written this before me. So Mr 5 star your standards must be extremely...
