I came to work with Erin through my sister who is also a pilates instructor on the west coast. I like to say my sister has a triple black belt in pilates because she is very particular about proper training, appropriate equipment and embodying the true essence of pilates. Erin checked all these boxes!
My sessions with Erin were a mix of breath work and pilates movement. She is an educator at heart so she explained the whys and hows of what I was doing without being overwhelming. She is also a great listener, resulting in sessions filled with tailored movements that addressed my needs.
It's also important to mention that Erin started our first session by asking what I wanted to get out of pilates. I thought this was so different from instructors that just assume 1:1 sessions were to "get fit and to just get to it." I didn't even have a specific answer but through introductory breath work and getting to know parts of my body, I was able to understand what my body could and could not do (more could not do, ha!) and Erin seamlessly created a workout that addressed these areas of improvements.

The equipment is top tier and the gradual way Erin introduces the equipment takes the pressure off and makes it natural to move from one contraption to the next.
Overall, Erin is the real deal. In a time when pilates is trending with studios popping up everywhere, it's difficult to find an instructor that truly understands the philosophy of pilates and the connection it has to the mind and body. Erin commits to this philosophy and is the reason why pilates with her is an experience that will result in a stronger body and a...
Read moreErin is the most gifted Pilates instructor I have ever worked with. She is insanely knowledgeable about anatomy, physiology and functional movement and her practice is very focused on those things.
She is very upfront that Pilates is not a good fit for quick weight loss which I appreciate. Instead her focus is on balancing out your body’s asymmetries, improving your range of functional movement and building your strength.
I came in as a postpartum client with very little strength and a lot of concerns about my joints due to hereditary arthritis. In just three months Erin has helped me make truly incredible progress on fixing old movement patterns that would have caused severe problems as I aged and on reducing daily joint pain. Pilates with her has improved my quality of life substantially.
You should work with Erin if you want to develop strength and improve functional movement AND are willing to work hard. Erin will not let you slack off in class or privates - she pushes herself and expects her students to do so as well.
My last instructor did not push me and I’ve seen more results with Erin in three months than I did in my previous...
