I recently had an amazing time at Studio W.I.P in Chicago with my sister and cousin! This spray paint studio is the perfect blend of creativity and fun. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was upbeat and welcoming. The space is vibrant, with walls filled with color and creative expression, setting the perfect mood to get inspired.
The experience was super unique â instead of traditional brushes and paint, we used spray paint! Jason guided us through the process, which made it easy even for beginners like us. They provided stencils, tons of color options, and helpful tips, so we could get as creative as we wanted.
We had a blast experimenting with different spray paint techniques and designs. We all took different approaches and all came up with something unique. It was so satisfying to step back and see our final pieces. The best part was that we were all able to create something personal and fun, and it didn't feel rushed at all â there was plenty of time to relax, chat, and let our creativity flow.
If youâre looking for a fun, out-of-the-ordinary experience in Chicago, I highly recommend Studio W.I.P. Itâs perfect for a fun small bachelorette party or a creative night out with friends and family. I will be making it a point to come back...
Read moreSpray paint n' Sip at Studio WIP Chicago was a great experience. Loved the instructions given at the beginning to help you understand better the science and art of spray painting. The instructor was great too. Clear, funny, engaging and encouraging. The experience was good therapy for me. I went to try to get my creative cobbwebbs loosened and work through the sadness weighing on me having recently lost my Mom & BFF. I went by myself on a Saturday night with craft beer in hand. It's BYOB. Be open to the process. There are techniques to follow, but you can't really do too much wrong. You can just let it dry and then paint over it if you find that what you did, you don't actually like. The people participating are cool too. Most seemed to be out on date night or 1st dates and a few groups of friends. I didnât feel like the odd-man out at all. The process kinda breaks down those "I'm only talking to the person I came with barriers." Please give it a try! My only warning is that you absolutely should wear the gloves and the apron. Sometimes the paint spatters. If it does, just get another can and have fun! đ I will definitely be...
Read moreThis was a very unique experience, but logistically executed very poorly. There were only 10ish cans of spray paint provided for the entire room of at least 16 people. There were not even enough spray cans available to provide each person with a color of their choosing at a given time. Additionally, half of the cans were almost/near empty and needed to be replaced. My experience was a combination of waiting for a spray color to become available, spending time waiting for refills, or not being able to access the color I needed all together. This dramatically reduced my time available paint and made for a very frustrating/poor experience.
If the price of admission is 100 bucks for two people, and there were 8 groups total, I am not understanding why more paint cans arenât available? One cart carrying 10 cans of colors to be used for an entire room seems odd considering how much we are paying for the event.
Overall, very poor experience from that standpoint. I will not be going back and would recommend other wine and paint events where supplies arenât so scarce and you are able to actually enjoy painting with...
