I attended the Spring Show. The PAC is above average and very nice for a high school. High quality sound and lighting and a rather large stage. The bells and whistles of Bass Comcert Hall at UT less the bar and smaller in size. I loved it and was impressed. However, I was not allowed to use restroom or exit at all during the performance, emergency or not. An adult usher woman blocked me with her entire body as if I were going to tackle her. This made me feel like I was a student not an adult, which was overkill for the situation as I did not approach doors aggressively at all despite the emergency at hand. Intermission finally came I "pole vaulted" over her and made a mad dash to the restroom. This was a disappointment. Paper towels weren't stocked and i expected an above quality restrooms comparable to that of the theater not of a cafeteria. Other than that, I believe it is an excellent place to enjoy a performance as every seat seems to provide a pleasurable time. I would go...
Read moreWent to go see my former students in their production of The Wizard of Oz and was beyond impressed!!! They had all ages! It was the best live production I’ve seen in a quite awhile! Loved how creative they were. They found a way to make the magic of Oz come to life. I felt like a little kid again, literally gasping and “ahh-ing” in the audience. I cannot say enough good things about how great this production was!
Between the overwhelmingly positive experience of my students and their parents (you know it’s a good company when the kids rave about it), and the evidence of such a memorable production, I’ll be recommending their program to anyone who listens. As an educator, it’s nice to see child performers nurtured and treated with the respect of young actors, not being treated as if their age makes them incapable! I’ll certainly be trying to audition for them myself as soon as my calendar clears.
Buy the tickets, prep for the audition, it’s...
Read moreI have been to several Theatre Shows and the Cavallette Dance Showcase and am now a LT Theatre students myself. The stage is huge and there are many different depth levels which help produce the great shows. There are over 400 lights and the sound is incredible too, even though the orchestra pit is too small for the orchestra to play in it. The only thing is that it is highly discouraged to go to the restroom during a show but unlike another reviewers experience I have been able to go to the bathroom...
