I went to the counter to get some balls. When I beauty them back, I asked my friend to get balls for herself since I thought she would want lighter balls. So she did. Anyway, once we started playing, the system returning the balls was taking really long; much longer than it took the pins to reset. So I went back to get a ball of the weight I already had. When I asked the counter attendant- Miguel was his name- he looked at me and answered rudely that I can’t have a ball. I was shocked because I’ve never been to a bowling alley that was so protective over their balls. So I innocently asked him if that was a joke. (In all seriousness I thought he was joking) My question turned him into a rage full man and he started screaming at me publicly as if I commuted some sort of crime. Doug- the technician- saw the whole thing happen and kind of reiterated what Miguel was saying in a nicer way, but did not call Miguel out at all. He came and took some of the balls we had away and didn’t let us have anymore. There is no sign stating a one hall per person policy which they were claiming is their policy. Anyway, at the end of our session, I went to Doug to explain how I felt. He was decent, but he just kept excising himself- saying how he stepped in and told Miguel off…which wasn’t exactly true. He also was saying how Miguel is usually very nice and he’s not sure why he lashed out like that. I find that very hard to believe, unless it was an incident of anti-semitism, which was a little bit the vibe I got. He should have just apologised for them both and said I’m sorry that happened to you. Anyway, I’ll probably never come back (I’m a boycott expert) so congrats! You just...
Read moreMy family just got back from Finnigans and we were so excited to post an honest and positive review! At first, we were surprised that they were charging everyone that came into their building, even though my husband and I wouldn't join the games. They explained kindly that they are just enforcing the rules and being that they are open at a 25% capacity and were closed for so many months, they need to charge every person as a paying customer. I understood their point and it helped that they commiserated and apologized that this is the policy now. The place was clean, sanitizing every ball, every shoe every table etc..(covid), the workers were so friendly and kind, offering assistance with my stroller down one step, and offering to take a family pic for us! (Which came out gr8, btw!) Their bowling shoes are in new condition and each child got fitted with the proper ball to bowl! What service! Also, it works here by the hour and they gave us 2 lanes (so we can have proper social distancing,) so with 4 people playing, 2 on a lane, we got in 4 games, each screen, which was amazing!!! Towards the end of the 4th game, they were super nice and added 5 more minutes to one screen and although the other game wasn't nearly done, they added 5 minutes there, too! What a great experience!!! Thanks for an awesome family trip! We definitely want to...
Read moreSurprised this place has as high a rating as it does. The entire time I was trying to figure out if I was "in the wrong part of town" because it felt like they did not want us there. They looked at us like we were aliens, like they were digusted and confused. They weren't overly rude or anything like that, but I wouldn't dare say friendly. Said thank you to a staff member who didn't even look in my directing much less say your welcome. Getting a lane took quite a while and they asked me how many people were in our team A LOT! Like i know you didnt forget how many people we have when were all standing right in front of you. When I asked for a lighter ball the girl looked like I was stressing her out.and then proceeded to give me a ball that was 1 pound lighter. Went there because apparently they served alcohol, but it was so uncomfortable that we decided to bowl and leave. Beyond that the place was dated, nothing impresive, kind of expensive as well. I will absolutely never go back here nor recommend it. I'm an extremely polite person and respect everyone and don't particularly enjoy leaving negative reviews. However, it was apparent we were not exactly welcomed there. I'm sure if I was the "right" kind of person my experience would probably have been better. That being...
