This was an amazing place to check out cards, comics and all the nerd collector swag you could possibly imagine. They have a wide variety of cards and comics to choose from and they have more issues than a nihilistic albino emo child of the 90's. I personally stopped by to see if they had any Pokemon cards (kinda hard to find nowadays) and found out it was Free Comic Book Day! Upon getting my free stuff, I asked about loose Pokemon cards for sale and when the clerk said they only had a few of the Modern 151 booster packs and a even less amount of promo packs, my face dropped. 😟 With a look of dismay, I declined and assured him that I'm looking for a specific card. (Shiny Magicarp!!!) He told me to wait up and pulled out a backpack from beneath the counter. From it he drew a binder. That's when he flicked through a few pages and offered me some duplicate shiny cards he had in his collection. This guy willingly offered me his personal shiney pokemon for free!!! in this Pokemon economy!!! 😢🙏🫡 You bet your a$$ I bought a few comic books. I walked in looking for a shiny Magicarp and walked out with the newest additions to my pokemon deck, a Conan the Slayer Omnibus and 3 free comic books. 😂 I'm ok with how this turned out. I have to stop by more often. 5/5 customer service and 5/5 can't wait to play my glorious all shiny...
Read moreAvoid this shop! The guy behind the counter was horrible and insulting for absolutely no reason. This guy must be a part owner or something because his attitude always sucks. I was making a stack of comic books on the counter. I had 4 or 5 books and intended on adding more to the stack. I have done this before and never had a problem. I asked the guy if it was okay? He scoffed and said I guess. I was like is there a problem? He was like "it's weird. You only have like 2 books so why are you setting them down. It's weird." I told him that I didn't want to keep carrying them around the store. I didn't want to damage my books and I was going to get my 9 year old a drink and candy out of the machine. I told Matt who is part owner and he said thanks for letting him know but I highly doubt anything will come of it. I thought I found a good local comic shop but was very wrong. eBay has great online comic auctions on eBay live. Spend your...
Read morePolite, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The selection of comics was a little small. They deal with pokemon, yugi-oh, and magic cards, sell/swap cards, as well as, provide tables for matches. They have a crafty lego table for the little ones to play at, which provided enough distraction for them to enjoy theirselves. They offered clothing swag for a number of items, toys, some multi-sided dice, collectibles, and board games. Overall, cool spot that is roomy and family friendly.
Note: I have put two orders in here for comics, both worth several hundred dollars, and never got a single call on any of them. The several times I have been back, I've been ignored, while they completely catered to those whom come in to hangout and play card games. Would be a lower rating, but they give kids a place to go to. Smh, they had potential, but they seem to forget they are...
