Classic Coffee Drive-Thru & Café — Restaurant in Lakewood

I come to the sprague ave stand all the time and hate to leave such a bad review as the service and coffee have always been wonderful. I have been coming here for nearly three years and have never had a bad experience, however I would like to know that the next trip I make out to the stand is not as horrible as it was today. I used to live down the road but now I drive from north Tacoma just because the coffe is wonderful and you're my favorite stand. I'm not sure how to get in contact with the owners. I pulled up and the barista told me she'd be with me ina moment. There was a car on the other side and she proceeded to hang out the window and chat with him for quite some time before even taking my order. After she took my order - finally- she picked up her cell phone and chatted on the phone the entire time she made my coffee and rung up my drink. She sat the phone down to take my money.i thought maybe it was closing time but she informed me the stand closes at six. I pulled up at 455 and I spent nearly fifteen minutes sitting there, on my lunch break. What normally is a quick trip sucked my entire break from work away all to watch her chit chat out of the other window. I've been a barista for a long tim and have never treated my job as carelessly as she did. Maybe it was on off day but she looked comfortable as if this is a habit. The coffee is horrible also and in three years I've never had a bad cup of coffee or bad service. Please use this as constructive criticism. I don't ever complain or make negative reviews but in three years of coming to get coffee from you I have never had a bad experience. I think as owners it's important to make sure you baristas value their workplace and customers, as the customers are what help the business succeed. I have gone here for years, Haven't gone in a long time and was ready to go back. I went there to the custard rd coffee shop recently and have had the worst experience these last 3 times I have gone. The Barrista Mac is VERY UNFRIENDLY and RUDE. I pulled up told her what I wanted she repeated it back to me and it wasn't anything I had asked for , So I said it again, she then said well all I kept hearing was light this light that very snotty. So I then got snotty back and said I never said light anything. Then when she went to hand me my drinks on one of them i asked for whip and she says OH IM SORRY I CAN'T HEAR YOU. I let it go.. Went back again with my whole family, this time she was snotty the whole time had to repeat my order a couple times. I also had asked for 2 blueberry Italian sodas forgot to say a size and she just never asked and gave me the smallest size. I let that go too and figured if I go again I will just let the Barrista that I love let her know. So I did. So the 3rd time I go I order my son another Italian soda easiest thing ever and it was absolutly the worse there was barely any flavor and cream mostly club soda.... I will never ever come there again when she is working........Worse customer...

To start, they use the best coffee beans (Dillanos), and the staff are always friendly. I even had a barista ask me if i was okay one time a few years ago. She seemed very concerned, and i thought it was odd because i was in a great mood after work. I realized later that day, she had seen the bruises on my arm from lifting boxes at work. It gave me a good laugh, and it was so sweet. Even the new hires have done a great job on my specialty frap for the most part, so they must train well. I also love when i get my kids an italian soda and they'll always give us dum dum suckers and sometimes add sprinkles on the whipped cream too. The kids and i are also obsessed with the smokey chicken...
