Reflecting on my experiences with this park, they range from pleasant to deeply troubling. In my former role as an intelligence investigator committed to halting child and drug trafficking, I've encountered various situations. A particularly distressing episode occurred in 2020 involving a close friend. While he was relaxing in the park, enjoying a beer and a phone conversation with his girlfriend, he faced false allegations of attempting inappropriate contact with a minor. As a Black man, this accusation was especially damaging. Through my professional experience, I am confident in his innocence; such actions are entirely out of character for him.
My investigations have often revealed disturbing trends in this area, including older individuals targeting vulnerable groups for exploitation and trafficking, alongside significant racial discrimination. I've documented nearly 1700 instances of such exploitation, particularly against minority females of all ages, often perpetrated by individuals exploiting their socio-economic status to prey on underage minority females.
During my investigations spanning 2019 and 2020, I focused on these serious issues within park environments. Sadly, it later emerged that the accusations against my friend were likely a tactic of blackmail by those who themselves were engaging in the very misconduct they alleged. This revelation further underscores the complexities and dangers associated with these public spaces, advising caution to those who...
Read moreTotally neglected by the City, probably because the city cut this branch of Lakewood off. There is no beach sand on the family beach, but many boulders and jagged rocks for your swimmers feet. Do not enter the water without shoes on or it will be quite painful. Swimming with shoes is not very safe either, though. The islander residents obviously are dumping their yard waste into the lake, as waves of yard waste wash over swimmers like thick green and muddy soup. Lakewood should study Lake Wilderness, Steel Lake, and other community lake parks and improve Harry Todd. It takes a brave soul to live in this neglected paradise, but Tillicum economy needs its few residence. The Lake is why I and others settled here, and we expected the city would step up and restore Harry Todd's dream of a safe accessible lake and park for the residents here. Instead, its a neglected sore spot and a discouraging heartache. Oddly, the university got the access and docks, etc they needed to accommodate their rowing needs, yet the needs of we who live here are not even considered by the city. Its clearly the old prejudice of keeping the poor poor - - so moms put shoes on your kids feet when swimming and braving the discomforts of this harshly designed park which is very...

The skate park that WAS there. Has been there for years. When the city was landlocked. A lot of the local kids got away from the gang life by starting their skateboarding hobbies. A lot of classes were taught there a lot of pivotal moments in kids lifes who are now doing great instead of shooting up houses in the back of stolen kias... This was taken away by an Rich old lady for her pickleball court. She has a car and money for the YMCA membership but she decided to take away the skatepark from the kids. I will not come back. I hope you old ladies like gang members doing barbecues right outside of pickleball court. Skateboarding was not the problem. Lakewood council members...
