Scammers, and bait and switchers. Nephew and i were here and he grabbed a bunch of items off the peg hooks and set it up on the counter (at the suggestion of the employee). we walked around and found more stuff. when we got back up to the counter, everything was gone. when asked about it, the old guy at the counter said "oh, all that stuff was priced wrong, so i fixed it and put it all back". When my Nephew went to re-find all the items, he discovered they increased the price on every item by over 100%. When confronted about it, the old guy said "those were priced wrong by a previous employee". My Nephew was heartbroken they did something that scummy. it was his first time visiting. he'll likely never come back. the old guy in there needs to be fired.

Edit 08-08-2025: Wow, the stores response is to call me a liar, and tell me we were at the wrong store. That's an interesting and very scummy way to attempt to undercut and invalidate my valid and accurate review. The situation I described definitely happened, was definitely at The Foxhole, and there was definitely an old guy working there who wears glasses and hobbles around. Hes been there every time I've gone shopping there on the weekends. I guarantee they know exactly who I am talking about. He discreetly and purposely went behind my nephew's back to raise the prices on the items he had picked out. He may not think of himself as old, but he is definitely 65+. I am not saying there's anything wrong with being 65+. But that is the guy who increased the prices on all the items and then gaslit my nephew about it. Then to get on here and say that this situation didn't happen (calling me a liar), must have happened elsewhere and acting like saying all of that is properly addressing the issues in my review, just goes to show you how scummy this place is. The only reason you want me to "note" when we came in, is so you can review security footage and ban us from the store. I know how places like this work. I have been here many times, I did NOT mistakenly leave a review for The Foxhole. Other review readers will see right through that bluff of yours. Don't call reviewers liars on google in public view. Its not a good look for your business. I am not the only shopper who had experiences like this and left bad review on here because of it. You are getting bad reviews, because you are treating customers...

One of my greatest hobbies is collecting bizarre, military surplus and repurposing it for my own needs through modifications and spray paint.

Today I walked into the Foxhole as I usually do, and went straight for the miscellaneous bins. I was looking for small accessory pouches for myself. I used a larger pouch to hold all of the items that I found. When I brought them to the counter, the woman who I assume is the owner of the store, scoffed and accuse me of trying to steal from her. She made a comment that it looked as though the tags had been removed from items and that I was attempting to either switch tags or hide an items actual value. She also made a comment that I was trying to hide merchandise in the larger bag I used to hold my items when she failed her remove all the items herself. I have never had an issue with his practice before and it has previously been very helpful for me to keep things organized and my hands free. I have quite a small collection of bags because of this practice, and it supports businesses I love while growing my collection.

I have shopped at this store every two months for the past 8 years since I joined the military. For her to make this assumption about me when we have only had conversations at check out, was humiliating for me and in bad taste for her. I waited approximately half an hour for her to develop prices for some of the items that I found. When I found comparable prices on the shelves, she made up arguments and excuses that items were vintage or brand new or “it shouldn’t be priced like that because the previous employee doesn’t work here anymore”. The item was clearly tagged.

At this point, I believe that I had spent too much time, money and effort in the past to justify continuing to use this store as my local military surplus. More than half the stuff in the store is new Chinese stuff anyway that doesn’t last to the rigors of military life.

To all those in the area, I would recommend that you stay away do not turn in your gear for pennies on the dollar and do not allow shady business practices like this to continue. I would recommend using eBay for items that you know you need because at least eBay offers a full return convenient shipping, immediate payment with credit, and prices on everything listed. Good...

Not even one star, Second time I shopped at this store and will never return. This is why, the military clothes that hang outside is a come on trap. The price marked on the items is not what they say they are. I purchased along sleeve Army pt shirt for 12.99.I had not left the store yet and discovered a few small holes in the shirt. Not in the seems as you would expect. I asked for a refund. I was told that there are no refunds, exchange only. Iageed I went back out front with the store employee and discovered that the shirts were marked at 6.99. All of them not just a few. I stated that I was over charged. The employee stated that someone marked them wrong. I then stated,who was that someone? The price is marked at 6.99 and I was charged double the price and that is not fair and that I only wanted one not all five that we're hanging there. They refused to give me the marked price on the items and refused to refund me the difference in the marked item price and what they charged me. This is nothing more than a rip off store. They clearly demonstrated to me that they do not give a $#!t about the customer and their way of doing business with the public. This used to be against the law to advertise or mark prices at lower amount to trap people in to buying an item. Then state that someone marked it wrong. And not even offer to correct the situation. I believe that this is just the way they do business and trap the customer and if you don't like it then to bad. I for one will never shop here at the foxwhole...
