This is a really nice park, with a big playground, numerous fishing spots, & LOTS of benches along the paved path that goes all the way around the lake. I would have loved to have given it 5 stars, but just couldn't, because as nice as much of the park is, the restrooms are.... not. From the seatless toilets, to the complete lack of toilet paper, to the stall doors that don't latch, to the "sink" that's just a tiny drinking fountain with an EXTREMELY hard to push cold water 'button', these bathrooms are completely inaccessible for any disabled person, & unusable for even able bodied people. The only other accessibility 'heads ups' I have is that the paved path has dips, especially towards the water, & while it may look even, it isn't always. Just something to be aware of if you have balance issues/disabilities.

I ended up at Kendrick Lake Park completely by accident and I am glad I did!! There was a storm I was chasing through the area and I wanted to go somewhere good for the sunset so I ended up here! I highly recommend walking around the trail for the entire lake because the landscape changes quite a bit and you can get great shots from all around the lake. I found a beautiful Heron sitting in the bushes and it kept moving around the lake so it was great to get it from different vantage points. The lake is relatively small so the waves are not too bad which make for some still, peaceful shots of the lake. This is a great place to catch a sunset at a less crowded park near Denver!

A beautiful park with a nice playground for the kids and friendly neighbors everywhere, it's long enough to get your daily exercise done in an hour or two tops. The only problem is the bathrooms aren't tended to often and a majority of the time the gate is closed so if you're planning on walking but know you're gonna need water to stay hydrated or need to go to the bathroom go to the bathroom before leaving the house, keep a water bottle or head inside the bear valley church, they're very kind so if you need to use their restroom or grab a drink they're very passionate about it lol just a little warning trust me I'll be playing pokemon go and trying to burn some extra calories and it kinda sucks to have to go home early cause of some problems if you...

Wide, paved path, which goes around the lake and is about 1 mile in length. Several benches at different spots right on the lake, plus very nice play area for kids with several picnic tables in several spots close to the play equipment. Dog friendly and folks seem to generally considerate about keeping their dogs leashed. I think the restrooms are mostly open during the warm weather but unsure of their condition because I don't visit them. Though the park shares a border with Jewel street, the abundance of trees and vegetation throughout the park make it easier to ignore, at times even forget, that you're in the midst of an urban/ suburban area. A lovely, easy to...
