Bamboo House — Restaurant in Lamar

I’m pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I was wanting some Springfield style cashew chicken before returning to KC (from Joplin) and decided on this place being it’s right off I-49. We arrived shortly after opening, so freshness of the buffet was spot on. While the cashew sauce initially left something to be desired, it got better with each bite and the right amount of cashews. The sweet and sour sauce was the best I’ve had in a while! The chicken pieces were excellent. All of their flavored chickens were great as well! To top it off, they had fried mushrooms and okra! My 5 year old found plenty to eat and was super excited by the dessert choices (multiple cookie types and doughnuts). I’d be completely content if this was the only Chinese...

Just needed to get a quick bite with the family. Seeing as this seems to be the only chinese Buffett in the small town, it was pretty good! They don't have many options to choose from but they have a the Buffett essentials and it's enough. The food was hot and service was excellent! The decor could use some updating but it's not the worst I've seen. The place was clean and staff was working hard. Well I would not know cause the 3 times I've stopped to try it out theres signs on the door they'll be back soon and also cash and check only so I just decide to take my business elsewhere where they'll accept my debit card cause I don't carry cash so at this point I just choose not to even choose them for an option.. clearly it's not important for them to have business if they choose to not provide...
