Heavenly Daylight Donuts/The Emporium — Restaurant in Lamar

These donuts were soooooo good! Some of the best glazed donuts I've had, and I'm a fat kid. Didn't try any of the other breakfast food, but planning on going back to try the biscuits and gravy sometime soon. I also had a chai latte and was super disappointed in that. When I asked about dairy alternatives for it, I felt like I might've grown a third head the way the clerk looked at me. I ordered it anyways and it tasted like lightly seasoned warm milk. Not at all like what a chai should taste like. I would not order any sort of prepared beverage here again, just seemed out of their expertise. And still the five star rating stands because the donuts were that good! Go for the donuts, not the coffee (or chai)! I know it's now a must visit for us for future visits to family...

Heavenly Daylight Donuts was a great introduction to Lamar. Not only does it have great local atmosphere, but it’s really a snapshot of what makes life in Lamar so special, now and in the past. Their old-fashioned donuts and maple bars were fresh, soft, and delicious. Worth going back for, and we did! The staff was friendly and helpful, ready to help us make what was a really difficult decision. The coffee was fresh and constantly flowing. They even came to our table to do refills when our conversation kept us in our seats. (It’s a great place to meet and talk!) Everything was clean and comfortable, bright and cheery. I don't go regularly. My family, others in my circle of friends do and I when can. I have enjoyed their customer service. One Wanda, as do some of her family who go as health allows to meet and say hello and enjoy the Good people of Lamar, and the friendships over the years. I'm delighted in their love and giving This has shown in serving and giving to us. Those who work out front face to face with of us.
