Cedar Street Electronics — Attraction in Lansing

Cedar Street Electronics is AWFUL. First; as soon as you walk in you are assaulted by the stench of cigarette smoke, both fresh and old. Any electronic device sitting in that building for any length of time would absolutely reek of cigarette smoke and would be impossible to fully clean or sanitize. Second; the staff has never heard of, or practiced, anything resembling customer service. I brought in an handheld electronic toy for a repair estimate because I knew the repair would be tricky and was beyond my skillset. The guy at the front counter (who didn't bother to greet me and gave an overall attitude of "why are you here and why are you bothering me") took the toy to the back, then returned to the front and said, "he doesn't want to." He didn't say, "this repair is beyond what we can do" or "this requires special equipment". Nope, just "he doesn't want to." This place has got to be a front for something else, there is no way people are bringing their electronics here. I went in looking for some capacitors and got the help right away. I've read mixed reviews about these guys and I'm here to clear the air. They go above and beyond to do what is needed to fix your equipment. I had an LCD display that even the manufacturer didn't want to deal with.
