Buffalo Bill Cody Park — Attraction in Leavenworth

Nice park with a large playground. And a nice area for picnics and birthday parties. It has a couple of racket ball courts and a very nice baseball field. There is a nice walking trail near the creek that runs the the entire park. I like to walk there. The track length is around a mile, It's posted on the path. It can be a bit isolated back there. Ive come a couple of folks that spooked me, but be safe and just be aware. Not the best place for dogs. It also has a public bathroom. And 2 parking lots. All in a all its...

While the "accessibility" modifications to the playground are nice attempting to use a wheelchair on mulch is difficult, as they are prone to getting stuck in loose terrain. Additionally the restrooms are located in the upper area of the park. There is a bridge leading up to them. The problem here is the stairs up/down the bridge. Forcing wheelchair users to go all the way around the outside of the park to reach them. It's a nice playground and park but it missed the mark for being labeled...

Disappointed in the evolution of this park in the past 20 years. The most recent change for whatever reason is the worst by far. How are you supposed to sit in midget benches? I'm dissabled, should i just roll in and out of them? The new park got rid of its best qualities. I can see why some of the changes were needed but seriously this is the worst.
