Horrible.Went there tonight at 9:30.Not a soul in the place eating but google shows they were open till 10:30.We could see workers cleaning from the windows and we even checked their "hours" sign to make sure they were still open. Went in to eat but it sure didn't look like they were expecting anymore customers.Food pans on the buffet were sparse, food looked dried out and some looked untouched. The green beans and 🦀 rangoon were gone. We asked if he could make more and they said they would but it never made its way out. I went for soup and chicken and 🍄.Ate a small portion of it and it was luke warm. The soup was barely warm.My sister said her chicken was almost cold. We told the young gentleman sitting behind the counter and he said he would make us whatever we wanted and it was on him.We decided no on that idea and just wanted to leave. He told us dinner was on him then, we didn't have to pay what little food we did eat. I told him I hope we don't get food poisoing from eating his cold food. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. It's too bad because I have eaten there before but never that late, but it's Saturday and they were open for another hourl. I can not understand why he would want to risk serving people food that can make you sick. They lost my business and I'll be sure to tell people to be careful eating there especially and hour before closing. Also, right after we left, they quicly turned off the China Buffet sign and closed right before 10:00PM. We had literally crossed the street to the Taco Bell when they...
Read moreBLUF: Skip it, I expect better quality food an $18 Chinese dinner buffet with soda.
SERVICE (3 stars): My server was professional, polite and attentive to my refills. Several buffet items that were pretty much gone hadn't been replenished by my second trip to the buffet.
AMBIANCE (3 stars): The restaurant, while dated and not very nice, seemed clean enough. The food was drying out on the buffet and needed to be stirred. Limited selection but nothing far off standard for Chinese buffets.
FOOD: (1 star): Every portion of the food was pretty bad and ingredients seemed low quality even for a Chinese buffet. The dinner buffet was terribly unappealing, many dishes hadn't been stirred, and the temperature on the buffet was barely warm at 6:30pm. The fried coating on chicken dishes was mush. Eggroll was soggy in the middle. The meats were overcooked. The various sauces were either overly sweet or unbearably salty. The hot and sour soup was subpar in flavor and lukewarm although the consistency was good. The fried rice was typical. Unfortunately, the rice and soda were the best...
Read moreI went with my wife Food 5/10, but I didn't feel like there was much of a selection, everything was deep fried
Staff 7/10. They were friendly and attentive, but tbh about what you would expect from a restaurant
Atmosphere 6/10 it was pleasant, not to loud or too quiet, quite a few families enjoying themselves
Location 1/10 the location is terrible, it's very old and very very dirty, it's worn out and not been maintained, the air conditioning was barely working when we walked in, but I couldn't feel it at all in our booth. I kept thinking that tod was about one of the dirtiest restaurants I've ever eaten in. We had a high chair for our baby, and it was absolutely filthy. The seat belt part of it was covered in grime.
All in all, it was pretty negative, but if the price was like $10 each or less, I would go, heck I might even recommend it as a hole in the wall, with ok food, but for two of us, both with waters it was $32, which is wayyyy to steep all things considered. I can't see myself...
