I absolutely love the variety of books that this location has to offer on the history of Leavenworth Kansas. The president of the society Mary Ann is absolutely wonderful to talk to in full of knowledge. I ended up staying there for almost an hour and a 1/2 one particular day and it was worth every single second. It is not on the base, as one other review stated, so no you don't have to get clearance before you can go there... It is right by Cushing Hospital near Spruce street, and I always have loved going there. The house is full of very cool period pieces and also awesome stories...
