Without a doubt the best Mexican food I have ever had. Ever. Being from California, that says a lot. My wife and I were driving across the country and found this place randomly. The food was MIND BLOWING. And I not exaggerating. My wife had the Quesabirria tacos and said that if she was given the choice of a Michelin star restaurant or Taqueria El Sabor, she would choose Taqueria El Sabor. I completely agree. I had the Carnitas burrito and it was beyond incredible. Why do I always find the best restaurants in the most random locations far away from home? I will never forget this culinary perfection. Located on 5th Street near downtown Leavenworth. Tiny spot with only 3 four-top tables. We ordered to go. What we ordered: 1.) Carne Asada Tacos $3.50 my husband liked these. 2.) Ground Beef Taco $3.50 my husband said this was just ok. 3.) Carnitas Tamales 3 for $9.00 the Meat was flavorful and the masa was soft 👍🏻 Arros side $3.50 rice was fluffy 5.) Frijoles $3.00 6.) The food served at this establishment is some of the best I've eaten. I LOVE Mexican food and have tried it from almost every state in America, and this is in the top ten best. Absolutely an asset for this community. I was in town helping family move here and always look for that amazing replicated flavor I had when visiting Mexico as a teen. Brother, this is it.
