I've been shopping at Home Depot for the 3-4 years. I've never had anything bad from there. I just replaced the floor in my trailer. It's better a chore but coming along nicely. Traffic Master flooring the cost was .68¢ a sheet actual per box was $18.05 with tax. Just this past month I bought a Ryobi 10' table saw for $129.00 plus what the taxes are on that. Just bought more stuff tonight that cost around $32.00 for that. Saw some nice prices on saws to. Just love going there everybody is helpful and friendly. This is what the floor looks like after we laid Gladstone Oak is the color. There table saw I bought just about a month ago. There a lot of neat thing you can do with this saw. 12/4/17 well this is updates from Home Depot they have all kinds of things on sale there right now. There really good sales on power tools there and other stuff. I bought a Ryobi 13amps power saw and some new saw blades to go with it around $52 for both. Not a bad deal. 4/29/18 well as you can see I've been to home Depot again to figure out what I need for a complete bathroom remodel. Start taking pictures yesterday and looking on line for what I need. So many choose that it hard for me to understand even where to start. It's kind of fun but it a headache to boot. I'll be going back soon.
April 9,2019: I went to home depot to find a new lawnmower. Well between Wal-Mart and Ace Hardware Store, Home Depot won hands downs. I bought a new lawnmower that day from them. I saw this pushed lawnmower for $169.00 plus a $25.00 extended plan for it a total cost of $212.77. That staff was very helpful to me they lifted and brought to my car for me. So I took it home and it sat in the box until Friday when Terry came up to help put together. Daniel and him put it together.
April 14,2019: Daniel Terry and I went back to Home Depot because there was no spark in that brand new machine at all. So we had to take back to them. They did a straight it out for me. They just just got a new box for a new lawnmower in it. Terry and I carried it to the blazer and put that in it and went and got gas and then we went hone. I stayed in the house and Terry and Daniel put together one more time. Well it put together and Daniel got the honors of pulling the rope and starting the lawnmower. He got the biggest blast of do that task and he was so proud. Thanks again Home Depot...
Read moreFirst, let me say, I am a woman....A blonde hair, blue eyed woman who likes the color pink, my little dogs, gardening, cute shoes, as well as literature-- but also is into politics, global affairs, science, computers/electronics, vintage cars and gasp carpentry! I am not a bimbo. I am not stupid, and I refuse to be stereotyped. I am not an uberfeminist, but I also don't believe in allowing my gender to limit what I can do.
My father is a carpenter extraordinaire. If it's out there, he can build it. I grew up going to Home Depot, Lowes and various other local Mom and Pop hardware stores since I was old enough to walk. I know the name of every tool, and I know how to, and regularly, work a skilsaw. As an adult, I've picked up Dad's hobby of building things, and have my own little workshop in my garage. I build everything from furniture to home decor items. By myself. Thankyou very much.
Recently, on a project I was working on, I found I didn't have a tool I needed. So, I made a quick trip to this Home Depot to pick it up. I knew EXACTLY what I needed, but I couldn't seem to find the right aisle. A seemingly friendly (older male) associate offered to help me. When I told him what I needed, he looked at me like I had no idea what I was talking about - and proceeded to be condescending & incredibly rude. I am a patient woman & I also have manners - I thought he was having a bad day, so I let it slide. As the conversation went further, he proceeded to roll his eyes, SCOFF and act as though I couldn't possibly know what I was talking about. He talked to me as though I was a 2 year old. Like I was stupid. THEN he tried to sell my a tool that was absolutely NOT what I needed. I have never been so insulted, and so furious, in my entire life.
Based on this experience alone, I would give this particular store 0 stars. However, I've been there quite frequently and have had nothing but good experiences, so I'll allow 2.
It's 2010. Women have been out of the kitchen and in the workforce for DECADES. If our individual bodies are physically capable, we can do anything that a man can. Gender has nothing to do with it. Home Depot should train their employees better on this. I am...
Read moreLocal contractors call this place the home of disappointment, and there not wrong. Stood by a counter waiting for a customer ahead of me to finish up to find he was a customer, just someone who use to work there bsing with a buddy. The kid working just blew me off until I say excuse me is he buying a door because I have measurements from you and I need to complete my order. The store management isn't much better, watched a manger halse a gentleman returning something for their company. The guy clearly did understand English very well and thought she was accusing him of stealing, so he went out and got his boss. This manger then had the nerve to tell a local construction contractor to hire people who speak English properly. Honestly, if I had the time I'd drive to Kansas city. I know the local professionals do, and only go to this store for emergencies. The store also has a serious inventory issue, as what is normally carried by their smaller store in north Illinois, central Texas, Oklahoma, north Carolina, and Ohio this store just doesn't have. This store brings shame to the home Depot name. It does have some stuff, but you have to make do with whats available and their the only show in town for something's and they know it. Menard's is 30 minutes down the road, so is lowes make sure to...
