Alamo Military Collectibles — Attraction in Lemay

A friend’s son died recently and he was a United States Air Force veteran. We had checked several stores trying to find an Air Force dress uniform for his funeral service. After contacting a couple of stores, we were told to check with Alamo. To make sure we weren’t making a useless trip, I called ahead. When we arrived at the store, the owner found exactly what we needed - the complete uniform with the hat and two US silver pins for the lapels. We were overjoyed to have found what we needed! As my friend let the owner know that she was ready to check out, he told her that there was no cost for a uniform for a military funeral. We were absolutely stunned! It was an emotional moment for me, because kindness like that isn’t shown often. If you are a fan of military collectables, clothes and firearms, PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. Everything in the entire store is coated in cigarette tar and smells absolutely awful. The store is also very small, so when the staff smokes behind the counter it quickly fills the entire area. Pete was also incredibly rude and irritable our entire visit. He seemed bothered to talk to any customers and left us very disappointed in our trip. (My family traveled nearly an hour to go check out this little store). Pete snapped at my little brother for changing his mind about purchasing an item in the store this morning. Now even with my brother spending nearly $60, Pete still threw his hands in the air and tore his little paper receipt into tiny pieces, making sure to complain the entire process. Been there twice first time was good the second recent trip left a lot to be desired mainly for the fact that only one of the the items was actually what i paid for. I bought a magazine (seems to be in good shape no complaints) and two boxes of ammo. One was some remington 30-06 which only had 13 of the 20 rounds i thought i was getting, 4 being fired cases and 3 being so corroded they are unfireable which i didnt notice until after getting home. The second box was sold to me as 303 british which i specifically asked for and upon closer inspection after getting home and some research, what i received was greek surplus 8mm mauser.
