Spira Farms — Attraction in Lemont Township

Not only good for human but my super picky parrot who never like to eat anything veggies or green somehow love these sprouts. I tried other brands from the grocery store but he would just turned his head or kick his plate away like a spoiled brat. I stumbled this on the fresh market and was thinking to give it a try but with little to no hope that this might be another waste of money and time. And to my surprise piggy loves it. For a bird who live on seeds diet throughout his life it is amazing to finally witness him eating something healthy. For the record I chopped most of the sprouts and mixed it with other veggies and grains and the rest I would just use it as a garnish to his daily food like what they do at some fancy restaurants. Bird happily eats them all. Now I am excited to plan his weekly healthy meal. I was a little worried that they are only available during the summer but glad to know they are open all year round! I thoroughly enjoyed the delivery service for the microgreens. I enjoyed the benefits by adding the Kale, Broccoli and Sunflower into my smoothies and salads. I even added to my almond butter toast. I also add them to the my dogs' meals. They eat them up. This is an awesome way to get all the nutrients in one day without having to eat a ton of veggies. Great customer service and a great product. We get microgreens delivered to our doorstep from Spira Farms every other week. I add beet, sunflower and broccoli microgreens to our morning fruit smoothies. My [very picky] kids absolutely love them, and even argue over who will add them to the blender.

I have also topped our meals with a few microgreens. Beautiful, delicious and so healthy.

The cilantro microgreens are great to add to my homemade salsa, too!
