Nice property - you don't get to see much of the inside because they don't actually allow people in the tasting room or it's a member's only thing - kind of confusing and they are pretty pretentious for just okay wine. We did have our dogs with us but even without them we wouldn't have been allowed in the tasting room. Their flight set ups are cute & different. The rose is like a starter blush - undrinkable. The Indian River Red was our favorite and probably the most dry red you'll find here. Even the Cabernet had a sweet taste to it that you normally wouldn't expect. The Chardonnay was just okay and still too sweet for true wine drinkers. They don't offer anything else to drink here so if you have someone that doesn't drink wine, either bring stuff for them to drink or avoid it all together. We sat out on picnic tables by the parking lot. UPDATE TO OWNER'S RESPONSE: It's so distasteful to me when owner's respond defensively. We specifically asked for something other than wine and were told they did not have anything other than water. The woman in the store where they poured the wine NEVER offered to come out to the picnic table and do a "proper" wine tasting - she seemed like it was a bother to her that we were there. Also there were 2 other small groups/couples that showed up after we did - 1 left because they could not sit inside / the other sat at another picnic table. NO ONE was in the tasting room so this is not correct and has nothing to do with dogs. Maybe something else was going on but there was definitely no one in their tasting room. I will not change my review/rating and we will not be back because the "award winning wine"...
Read moreJust moved to the area and saw the sign for the Farmers Market on Sunday afternoons. We turned in to explore. We had a great time, plenty of parking, great scenery. The farmers market is small but they had everything I could think of and more. One of the farm to table vendors convinced me to buy Brussel Sprouts (against my better judgement), gave me advice on how to cook them (i grilled them), bought them firmly convinced I would hate them and would end up taking heat from the family who where down to visit, and not overly enthusiastic about the little heads of lettuce I bought for diner, but amazingly they were GREAT. Proving again nothing better than fresh farm to table veggies.
As we were walking around we sow people camped out on chairs, a little confused we walked over and then heard the live music. We haven't made it into the winery yet but we will, plus I need more Brussel Sprouts!
Great place just to walk around, take in some live music, support our neighborhood farmers and just have a great Sunday afternoon.
To the owners of the Vineyard, thanks we will be stocking up on local...
Read moreI visited the winery on a tour and had a tasting this past weekend. It was a decent time until our server threw a fit because she thought my group of 8 people did not tip her at the end. She stormed past us while waiting for our bus and yelled out “they left nothing” and other rude remarks. Our driver cleared up the situation explaining we did in fact leave a very generous tip for a $10 per person tasting. It was unacceptable and very unprofessional for a grown woman to act this way. I am not sure of her name because I don’t think she even told us that at the start of the tasting, however I was told she was the sister of the owner. They need to rethink who they have deal with customers. No one from my group will be back and I would definitely not recommend visiting this winery based on how they...
