Redner’s Fresh Market — Local services in Lewes

I am writing to express my concerns about the produce at Redner's Fresh Market in Lewes, Delaware. I have had several experiences purchasing watermelons that have not been good quality due to being left out in the hot sun. Despite addressing this issue with the store manager and assistant manager, the watermelons continue to be left outside for curb appeal. I recently spoke with corporate and they stated that storing the watermelons inside is acceptable. However, local management insists that corporate wants them stored outside for curb appeal. I’m not sure where the confusion lies, but the quality of the watermelons is being affected by being stored outside. I don't understand the concern with curb appeal when it's impacting the quality of the product. It seems that the focus may be more on sales and profits, rather than ensuring that customers receive high-quality products. Redners is not an inexpensive store, and customers expect to receive good value for their money. If this issue isn't resolved, I will have to consider shopping...

Needs some improvement. I like this store and am glad it opened in this location for quick groceries close by. I enter from Vinyard Lane and there needs to be 2 way traffic here. By the time I enter here and have to exit on the other side it nullifies the convenience of this being close to my house. I might as well go elsewhere to fight the traffic back down Route 9. The items stocked are fine, if I need more specialty items it’s maybe not the place but for a neighborhood market no complaints. The checkout process infuriates me here. The self checkouts are a nightmare. I can’t leave without having an attendant fix them multiple times. They double scan items and throw errors constantly. Lots of produce rings up as the wrong item. That alone makes me not want to come. The employees know they are glitchy. Fix the software and the exit and this will go from a 3 star experience to a 4-5...

Redners in Rehoboth Beach is amazing Kenny, the assistant manager went out of his way to help me at the gas pump! My points would not go in and he had to explain the system to me- You either use your card or your phone number, but you always have to use the same thing you purchase product inside and then get gas outside!

( he said it took him an hour to figure that out one day!!!) So he saved me a lot of time that day

Thank God Redners is here from Pennsylvania! I shouldn’t tell you, but Clover Farms is the freshest milk around…!!!plus Redners always takes their product back if it’s less than quality
