We spent 4 hours at Shell we bounce today. The kids spent 2 hours bouncing and 2 hours in the arcade area. They had lots of fun (ages 11-17).
THE GOOD: There is plenty of variety of tramolines to keep them entertained. The trampolines and pads were all in good condition.
Out of all the places I've been where they give out prize tickets, I think they are more generous here (not that any of them are GOOD. lol). My kids each had a $20 card, and each came home with a prize that was more than a handful of tootsie rolls and pixi stix.
The food prices are pretty cheap, considering every place is around $10 for a hamburger now, and it's a lot less here. (See pic for current menu prices.) They have 6 slushy flavors, and the kids loved that treat.
The bathrooms were clean and working. Staff was friendly. There are bottles of hand sanitizer everywhere, which helped. The Wednesday discount Family Fun price was a good savings.
THE 'COULD BE BETTER': The floor in the arcade and snack bar area was filthy and sticky. It would honestly be a better idea to tell parents they can only wear socks past the front desk so the floor in there stays clean because the kids in their trampoline socks come out there and get their socks filthy, then go back in and get the mats where you jump filthy (like the diving board thing). The nets in the place have a ton of dust on them. I'm not sure if/when they vacuum them or clean them however you'd do that, but if someone is sensitive to dust, clumps do fall down, especially in the dodgeball area. The tables don't get wiped down very often, and we never saw a staff member for 2 hours ever come upstairs to the mezzanine where adults were hanging out to watch. So, nothing ever got cleaned while we were there. I did not see an adult employee at all during the whole 4 hours. All the employees were teenages. At least 1 young man who was supposed to be 'supervising' on of the trampolines was on his cell phone almost the whole time. I tried calling this place from about 10 AM until 2 PM at least 6 times because I had questions as it was our first time going. No one ever answered the phone.
OVERALL: It was fun. I was happy with the safety. But...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOK where to start. My daughter had a great time, but shes 10 and follows the rules. But she had to dodge the little kids that were unsupervised. There was four-year-olds cutting in front of her and just jumping and not giving her her chance. There is a special section for under five and a couple of times 10-12-year-olds were on it. There were two staff members checking people in one person working for drinks and food and one person supervising the floor. He was supervising extremely lightly, in other words, he wasnāt watching anybody. My daughter loves jumping off the high platform into an airbag, and there was specific rules. Only one person could be on the ladder at time. They had to wait until the person got off the mat before they could jump, and that was not happening for most of the time talking to his friend, he left the station together and went into the dodgeball section and played a game with his friends. The entire time was going on anybody from four up to 12. Weāre jumping from the high platform with no supervision. Parents were all on their phones, not paying attention to their kids and even when they did something that they werenāt supposed to do they didnāt say anything not surprising. But I was very shocked and appalled that this person supervising the floor was not supervising it at all. Heaven forbid somebody wouldāve gotten pushed off of that platform at the wrong angle or someone jumped on them. It was very chaotic. Iāve been to other trampoline parks and Iāve never seen one run this shabbily. Would I go again no, not worth it. It was very small and really did not have enough activities nor enough staff to make sure...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI come to this place with my kids almost twice a month during the summer, sometimes more, we love it here. I donāt usually leave reviews of a place unless I feel like it was exceptionally horrible or exceptionally great. Today, we had an exceptionally great time and it was solely because of Jace. I donāt know what theyāre paying this kid, but I can guarantee it isnāt enough. Aside from the actual trampoline park, we spend a good amount of time in the arcade because the kids love winning tickets for prizes. We got there early afternoon and 3 of our favorite games were inoperable. We asked several staff members about it and were offered a refund for the credits lost, but nobody knew how to actually fix the problem. This is where Jace enters the chat. Within minutes of him arriving for his shift, he had the three games fixed and started working on more. We managed to break the game two more times lol, and each time Jace came right by to fix it. When it was time to go, the kids had to pick out prizes. This is always our least favorite part- two kids under 8, with lots of options and lots of tickets to spend= an hour of indecisiveness. However, this time, Jace was behind the counter and suggested things for each of my kids- cutting down prize picking time to less than 10 mins, which is an actual record. As I said before, I typically donāt feel compelled enough to review a place. But Jace is an absolute asset to Shell We Bounce, and I hope heās getting treated...
