This park has soccer, football, softball, baseball, and open play fields along with basketball courts, a walking trail, and two (1 large & 1 small) fenced-in dog parks. There is a bathroom near the softball fields and a bathroom near the football field and the playground. The bathrooms are open year round. In December, the bathrooms were open, heated, and clean. We recently spent an hour at the updated playground. It has a variety of climbing apparatuses, slides, swings, balancing walks, etc. The equipment side for the littles (1 to 5 years) is fenced-in so the children are safely contained. The playground area for the older children (6 to ?? years) has an open edge. This allows for a continued game of chase or freeze tag or open play (ball pass, frisbee, etc). The CLEAN bathrooms are within 20 yards of this large playground area. This park is adjacent to Passive Park. There are smaller playground areas, plenty of strolling trails, a frisbee football course, a bathroom, and a historic building. Both these parks are FREE to enter on regular operating days. Special events do often occur at these parks, so keep an eye out!!

I am not the type of person to leave reviews but this is appalling. My grandson was playing tag with his friends and my grandson fell on the concrete because guess what. THE CONCRETE WAS MORE FILLED THAN THE PADDING SO HE TWISTED HIS ANKLE!!! This is a problem because this is dangerous. St Mary's Recreation & Parks my grandson had to skip school because of this incident and this is because of your thinking. Never again and do better St Mary's Recreation & Parks ✌️

All purpose activities park in Southern Maryland. I have attended numerous soccer and football games with my nephews. My wife and I like to walk the the one mile walking path. There is a section that is under tree cover and shaded so you are not continually in the sun. There are also bathroom facilities available. There is a three section dog enclosure that accommodates small, medium and large dogs on site. Water is available for the dogs in the dog enclosure area. Picnic, grills, trash cans and covered areas are also available for public use. Don’t miss out on this free public park in Southern Maryland when you are in the area. Patuxent Naval Air Station is adjacent to the park so an occasional naval aircraft may fly overhead. The Southern Maryland Aviation Museum is a short five minute drive...

The park is nice. The best part is the dog park they have two separate pins for large and small breeds although people at times dont listen and still mix small breeds with large breeds. For the most part our fur babies always had a great time. Most fur parents are really great at picking up after ther fur babies and also separating the circle when our fur babies get to excited with one another. The park has a great walking trail, big play area with swings and slides for the kids, has a baseball field, soccor, football field. And as a hidden frisbee football area. Over all a great park would...
