Visited on a very hot day late in the afternoon. The tour guide, Diane, gave a very thorough, enjoyable tour that ended up being a one on one. She is very knowledgeable about the house and events surrounding it, and I enjoyed chatting with her. The young gentleman at the desk was also very friendly and welcoming. I'd highly recommend this tour for people interested in 18th century houses and the events of April 1775.

Historic home in Lexington. When Paul Revere took his midnight ride he stopped here to warn John Hancock and the Minutemen before riding on. You can get tours of this restored home by reenactors to hear about its history and also about what daily life was like. Buy tickets at the visitors center which is a short walk from here.

If you want to know more about American history, especially the "shot heard 'round the world," then you should visit the Hancock-Clarke House! You'll learn about Paul Revere and other Sons of Liberty, too. An interesting place to visit for both adults and kids!

We had a horrible experience with our guide Judy today. As a Lexington resident, we decided to visit the museum just once to learn more about the area we are living in. Judy gave a disgusting look to my mom when she coughed during the beginning of the tour. She has a house dust allergy and it’s pretty common for her to cough or have a runny nose when she walks into buildings for the first time. Just to be clear, there was a rule of "no touch" but no sign of "no cough or sneeze". My mom also has prepared few tissues in her hands before going in so she coughed into the tissue, not air. Anyway, Judy showed no consideration or sympathy at all but stared at her with belittled eyes going from head to toe on my mom, kept that look while taking her face mask out of the pocket, and covered her face. My mom told her that she is not sick and Judy ended up not putting her mask on but her impolite & inhumane attitude was just shocking and very upsetting. She later explained that she has to be careful because she is on medications. Well, I know many people who are on medications and still treat others as another respected human being. I had have never seen a person who could show that much of pure rudeness in the face with no hesitation and her excuse was not enough to justify her behavior.

Museum is a kind of places you expect a variety of people from all over the place. Luckily, we were not sick but there might be real sick people visiting sometimes. I would recommend her to wear a mask all times or even consider choosing a workplace requires less human contacts. Also, a place like museum should hire a staff who enjoys having people around and can treat them with generosity...

Went there today with my wife and 3 year old and expected a welcoming & pleasant tour and educational experience. Receved the opposite. Unfriendly person at the front desk who scolded at my wife for walking the wrong way around a table to begin the tour. 10 minutes into the actual tour, the guide chastised my daughter because she touched some fake plastic berries on a table. Here I am thinking that just dropped $20 to have my family get yelled at!?! At that point we left. Dear Hancock-Clarke management: Please send your staff to some customer service training or get some people that can at least fake being nice and paint a smile on .... how...

I volunteer for my daughter's class today and the visit was awesome! I learned so much more than i expected and the staff were wonderful and knowledgable. Its kinda quick so maybe only plan for 30-45 minutes and then make a day of it by visiting the local comic book store (which also doubles as a cool and safe hang out space for the older kids) or if your a single adult for the day; grab a bite in the center or town and take in all that Lexington...
