There are numerous openings and exits to the playground that lead directly to the parking lot. There is a opening at the top of the playground that goes directly to the parking lot, so if the parents are standing in the playground at the bottom watching there kids play then there is no fast way to get to the top because you have to walk all the way around to get up there. This is a huge flaw in the design. If there were some steps to the side where you could quickly access the top level then that would make a huge difference! Read moreI love bringing my kids to this park because it offers amazing shade from the brutal sun, has slides and swings for any age (toddlers to big kids), and has a walking path along the creek. There is also a smaller area at the (Hwy 6 entrance) with swings for children that are unable to access the playground - it has a swing that can accommodate a wheelchair, a swing that a child can be laid down on, etc.. There is also seating around the playground and along the walking path. You can also reserve covered picnic tables or the larger covered area with many tables for birthday parties or events. It is located behind the Lexington Police Department and just a short walking distance to the Icehouse Ampitheater and the many shops and delis on...
