The Old Mill Pond walking trail in the heart of Lexington, SC, is a true gem for families and nature lovers alike! This 1.15-mile paved trail loops around a serene pond, winding through thick, shady trees that create a peaceful, immersive experience. The trail is well-maintained with thoughtful amenities like a lighted path for evening strolls, trash cans, a drinking fountain, and even dog waste disposal bins—perfect for pet owners. The wooden bridges add a charming touch, and emergency phones along the route ensure safety. It’s a pro-family environment, ideal for walks with kids, pets, or just a quiet escape into nature. Highly recommend this beautiful, accessible trail for anyone in Lexington!

Well done. Clean. Easy access. Close to shops/restaurants, but it doesn’t impede on the peace of the walk. Not a hard walk, but not super easy: there are some incline changes and curves but nothing crazy. Distance at a little over a mile is nice for kids. Dog friendly, from what I’ve seen. Be prepared for wildlife (snakes/bugs, etc.). So glad I found this!

Beautiful walking trail but very busy and crowded. If you have a romantic walk in mind maybe the earlier AM hours are better, I don't know, but an evening/sunset walk will have you just leading or following your significant other due to the width of the trail and the volume of other people. Not recommended for introverts or those that walk for mental peace.

Love this trail. It’s paved and is wide enough for everyone walking or running to get around each other. It’s laid out so nicely. In the sun sometimes and shade other times. Benches to sit for a rest if you need it. It’s 1.15 miles around it. It’s an easy walk with minimal effort. There is parking behind old mill restaurant off east Main Street and a smaller parking lot off south lake drive (this is a tight parking area). There are bathrooms inside the old mill building hallway but doors are sometimes locked. It is dog friendly. Haven’t walked it at night, but there are lamp posts...

Old Mill Pond Trail did NOT disappoint. It's absolutely beautiful and so relaxing. If you're looking for a nice stroll. This is your go. Pets are allowed and running and bicycling too. They even have dogs bathroom bags and disposable stations. And you're definitely safe there cause there's lots cameras on the trail and emergency call locations throughout. This trail has a triple A plus from us as a grade. Lots of benches to sit on for breaks or just to lookout over the pond. Photographers, this place has a lot to catch for your...
